Watercolour Tutorial – Gloss Varnish Specialty

Watercolour Layout by Rikki Graziani

Today we are sharing an awesome mixed media layout that Rikki has created for us using the
specialty gloss varnish page, where she has watercolored the roses from the design..

I was inspired by the roses and making them like a water colour painting in rich Autumn Tones” – RG

Use GINGER as the background page – Everyone love a good woodgrain page as a background as this one is no exception.

Fussy cut all the ROSES from Gloss Varnish Page.

Over the background piece of paper use the mini template with texture paste allow to dry.

With the fussy cut roses from the ROSES GLOSS make a rough circle starting from the top of the page,
use foam mount to raise some of the roses up for dimensions.

Mist flowers with water and drop the liquid water colour over your roses and background.

Add your 6×4 photo to the center of the rose circle.

Add a tag from Collectables on the bottom left hand side of the photo, with also circles and leaves.

Add a title to the right-hand side of the photo with a butterfly from the Collectables
