Antiquities Double Page layout

Welcome to today’s blogpost with Jowilna. How gorgeous is this range with its striking color combination. I am sharing this double page layout where the focus is on the photos, while the added elements make for a visually interesting layout.
Below is a step x step of how I created my double page layout. But remember to download the instructions for your own records and as a reference guide.
Cut elements from your patterned papers. I started off with the numbers from the P2746 Precious Patterned Paper, P2740 One of a kind and P2744 Valuable.
Cut 2 x strips of the P2741 Limited Edition sheet of patterned paper measuring 10×6” (26x15cm) and ink the edges. Adhere the strips 3” (7,5cm) from the bottom edge of your background and flush in the middle. Apply metallic pearl texture paste through the stencil. And leave to dry.
Once the stenciling is dry, use your KM130 Brown KaiserMists to add some colour. Take the nozzle out and splatter some ink across the entire layout.
Matt your photos onto brown cardstock and adhere in place centered on the woodgrain pattern running across the middle.
Adhere the shapes just below the photos running across the center of the page using Craft glue.
Add foam tape to the back of some of the numbers previously cut out. Adhere the numbers in place creating layers. Add a layer of numbers on top using foam tape for dimension.
Select collectibles from the pack that you may want to use and add them to your layout.
Add cut out leaves and flowers as desired using double sided tape and craft glue.
Once you are happy with the layout add some texture stamping using the script stamp from the clear stamp set. Lightly ink the stamp in Brown ink and stamp onto the background using a soft hand and light pressure.
Add finishing touches like embellishments, curios, buttons, sewing and metal elements as desired.
Collectibles are great for adding details to your projects – they are quick and eays to use.
This paper with its realistic wood grain effect is simply amazing for all projects especially for men and boys.
Add layers for dimension using foam tape and lots of fussy cut elements.
Until next time – I hope you have been inspired by this gorgeous range and creating some double page layouts for all those memories. If you would like to download these instructions you can do so HERE
