Fun With Watercolour

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a great week. Today I am sharing two cards which are part of the Magenta Collection. When I saw the stamp set, I immediately knew that I would love to create some watercoloured cards using them. I created two cards using two mediums – mists and watercolour markers, both fun to use and both producing different results.

PAPERS: Magenta Collection – PP1071 Paper Pad, CD101 Coconut Cardstock

KC PRODUCTS: CS356 Magenta Clear Stamp, Kaiser Mist: KM125 Candy, KM122 Yellow, KM127 Turquoise, KM126 Lime, CD501 Card pack Square White, DD528 Decorative Die Nesting Heart

OTHER: Watercolour paper, Laminated Paper, Scalloped Scissors, Wink Of Stella Clear Shimmer Pen, Versafine Ink

Apply generous drops of Kaiser Mists onto a laminated surface and then spritz it with water.

Press a piece of watercolour paper over and then dry with a heat gun. This creates a watercoloured background that can be used on its own or as a background that can be stamped upon.

You can use different mists to create different colour combinations.

Position the stamps strategically and fussy cut the images once stamped.

KC PRODUCTS: CS356 Magenta Clear Stamp, CD510 Card Pack Square Black, SB702 Hot Pink Rhinestones

OTHER: Zig Markers, Versafine Onyx Black Ink, Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock

I selected these images from the stamp set and coloured them in using a light and a dark coloured maker to add some definition. I also chose dark papers to add a contrast with my flowers as I wanted them to stand out.

Watercolour is a great technique to use and can be applied using markers as well as mists.

If you decide to try these techniques, be sure to share them on the Kaisercraft Corner Facebook Group  or tag #kaisergallery on Instagram.
