Technique Tuesday

Welcome to another Technique Tuesday with my Jowilna. Today I am sharing a quick and easy way using your stamps to alter patterned paper and make it truly unique. Stamps are so versatile and by simply changing the product we use with them we can create a totally different look.

For my layout I wanted to use this amazing piece of patterned paper. But it needed something, so I added some stamped images embossed in white for an amazing end result.

Kaisercraft products used:  WORKSHOP Collection: P2794 Dashing, P2801 Chivalrous, CT967 Collectables, CS364 Clear Stamp, T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue, KM130 Brown Kaiser Mist, KM129 | Navy Kaiser Mist FL654 Flourish Pack
Other: Versamark ink pad, White embossing powder, Heat gun, metal embellishments.

Start off by selecting your piece of patterned p0aper you want to use, white embossing powder, Versamark ink pad and your stamps.
Stamp the image you want to use repeatedly onto your patterned paper. Holding it up to the light enables you to see the Versamark stamped image, and prevent you from over stamping.
TIP: an easy way to avoid over stamping your images, is to stamp your image, sprinkle it with embossing powder, shake off the excess to reveal your image, and then stamp the next image.
Once you are happy with your design, use your heat gun to heat set the embossing powder. White looks amazing against any backdrop, and with its shiny detail creates a totally new piece of patterned paper.
To decorate my layout I used die-cut gears, brads, metal embellishments and rhinestones.
Use your Kaiser Mists to colour your die-cut elements to perfectly match your papers. Until next time – remember to pull out those stamps and create some custom papers, or alter your not-so-favorite papers to something totally new and amazing!
