Happiness Blooms

Hello everyone. I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing with a layout which features the gorgeous papers and products from the Amethyst Collection .

Kaisercraft Products: AMETHYST Collection – P2914 Moonstone |P217 Full Moon |P2916 Crystal |CD301 Snow Cardstock | CT980 Amethyst Collectables |CS3801 Amethyst Clear Stamps |DD705 Swirl Decorative Die |F643 Amethyst Paper Bloom

OTHER: Versamark Ink |White Embossing Powde | Doily |Bling Stickers

I was inspired by the pretty florals in this collection. I also wanted to have distressed/vintage look to my overall layout. I loved this photo! Sometimes you don’t have to have people in your images in order to create, the flowers in the basket were perfect for the look I was going for.

To create the distressed/vintage look, I distressed the edges of my papers as well as randomly ripped papers to adhere to my background. I added a doily plus I layered my blooms.

Tropical Vibes

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing my Sunkissed Collection layout. This collection is filled with anything you need to scrapbook holidays, create tropical themed decorations or even capture memories at the beach or pool.

Kaisercraft Products: Sunkissed Collection: P2905 Long Island| CT979  Sunkissed Collectables |CD651 Kraft Cardstock |CB153 Corrugated Board |CS360 Tiny Dot Clear Stamp |IP757 Permanent Black Ink Pad |KM127 Turquoise Kaiser Mist |FL618 Beach Flourish |KC001 White Paint

OTHER: Clear Gesso |Embossing Powder |Versamark Ink |Twine.

I created my own circular frame using kraft cardstock. I wrapped some twine around it to add dimension. I also wanted more texture so I used corrugated board as my photo mat. I used my paintbrush to apply some turqouise Kaisermist in my background to add splash of colour.

There are quite a number of lovely blooms and leaves available in the collectables of this collection. By adhering them using craft glue and mounting foam it adds depth and layers.

I used some of the flourishes from the beach pack in this cluster. I stamped each with Versamark ink and used different embossing powders to alter them.

Celebrate Today

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I cannot believe that we are approaching the end of the month, one that has been filled with so many highs and lows. I am sharing two projects that feature products from the Native Breeze Collection.

Kaisercraft Products: NATIVE BREEZE Collection – P2859 Wattle Flower |P2858 Gum Leaves |CB153 Corrugated Cardboard |CD651 Kraft Cardstock |CT976 Native Breeze Collectables | Decorative Dies: DD3334 Celebrate Today, DD441 Sari Texture

This collection is abundant with beautiful florals, that can potentially showcase so many occasions. I selected this title as I felt with so much sadness affecting us all with the bushfires, tragedies in the media we needed to find hope and some joy in our days.

OTHER: Zig Markers |Versamark Ink |White Embossing Powder |Gold Embossing Powder |Bristol Smooth Cardstock |Waterbrush Pen |Corner Rounder |Hemp

My second project features the clear stamp from the collection. I stamped it onto Bristol smooth cardstock and used my zig markers to colour it in.

It is such a pretty stamp and watercolour markers really are easy to work with.

Australiana Dies

Love the look of dies but not sure of what to do with them? Kaisercraft has released a range of Australiana floral dies that not only compliment paper collections but can be used on their own.

Kaisercraft Products: CD511 Card Pack C6 White | Decorative Dies: DD812 Sketched Rectangle Frame | DD3351 Protea | IP743 Spearmint Ink Pad | CS916 Occassions Mini Clear Stamps | CD301 Snow Cardstock | CD302 Coal Cardstock

Other: Copic Markers | Versamark Ink | Clear Embossing Powder | Silver Embossing Powder | White Embossing Powder | Stick It Adhesive | 100 pound Cardstock

I was inspired by the protea die. After having a look at images online to see what colours to use, I explored a stained glass technique and decided that I would use this to showcase the die. I used my copic markers to colour the indentation of the die onto cardstock then heat embossed it with clear embossing ink to create the stained glass look. This technique could be used to create home decor items.

To view this collection of dies, stop by your local stockist or visit the online store.

Happy Birthday

I hope that you are safe and well. Today I am sharing a card with you that features stamps and products from the Lily and Moss Collection by Kaisercraft. I was really inspired by the stamp set and decided that I would use this as my main focus for my card.

Kaisercraft Products: Lily and Moss Collection – PP1083 Paper Pad |CD101 Coconut Cardstock | CS377 Lily and Moss Clear Stamp |CT977 Lily and Moss Collectables |Decorative Dies: DD508 Nesting Ovals |DD794 Ornate Pack 2 |CD511 Card Pack C6 White |F641 Dusty Pink Paper Blooms |SB701 Soft Pink Rhinestones

OTHER: Copic Markers |X-Press It Blending Card |Stamens |Hemp |Memento Tuxedo Black Ink |White Gel Pen

I used my copic markers to colour one of the stamps that are part of the stamp set. Once I had finished colouring the image in, I used a white gel pen to add some details to the largest blooms.

To add a vintage feel to my card, I added some die cut details around my stamped image. I used the corner die from the ornate pack 2 plus some rhinestones.

If you don’t own copic markers, this image would like beautiful watercoloured using watercolour markers. It doesn’t take a long time to colour in, but the results are very pleasing!

If you would like to purchase any of the Lily and Moss Collection, visit your local stockist or go online to the Kaisercraft store.

Have a great week.

Grateful

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I cannot believe how quickly time has passed and that this post will be my last for 2019….more new projects to follow in the new year. My layout features papers from the December release Grand Bazaar Collection from Kaisercraft and it is titled “Grateful.” At the end of each year, we truly have so much to be grateful for, even in times when we are surrounded by hardship such as the bushfires and drought. We can only hope that the new year brings us a positive start and the much needed rain we are all praying for.

OTHER: Modelling Paste |Bling Centres |Stamens, DD703 Fabulous Decorative Die

I have altered some paper blooms to use in my layout. To learn how to do this I have a tutorial in a previous blog post or you can click here to view the video.

I really liked the sentiments found in the tags from the collectables and incorporated these into my layout just by tucking them in at the end of my borders.

I created my own title by using a word die and kraft cardstock. I kept my embellishments muted so they would compliment the papers and also not compete with the colours of the boys’ clothing.

Birthday Party

Happy December everyone! I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone by. Today I am sharing a layout that I have created using Oh Happy Day Collection. My layout was designed around the photo…the joy the little girl is showing in looking at the butterflies is precious. It also reminds me of the excitement that children share when it is their birthday and everyone is gathered around ready to sing ‘Happy Birthday…..’ pure joy.

Kaisercraft Products: Oh Happy Day Collection – P2896 Wrapped Up| P2897 Yah |P2898 Party Paper |CT974 Oh Happy Day Collectables |CR222 Oh Happy Day Curios | Decorative Dies- DD491 DIY Flora Daisy |DD493 DIY Flora Leaves |Art Foam SF901 White |SF904 Daisy |SF920Sage | Paper Blooms F627 Coconut |F634 Sunset |SB715 Deep Yellow Rhinestones

OTHER: Doily |Hemp |Yellow Stamens

I also went out of my comfort zone and used yellow – not one of my go to colours.  I selected paper blooms and altered them using a technique I shared previously.

I also added a doily as an accent, we use doilies as decorations at parties and it was great to use one again in a project.

Live For The Moment

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a layout that I have created using the Lady Like Collection. I was inspired by the beautiful floral papers and accessories that accompany this collection. Vintage florals are one of my favourites to design with.

Kaisercraft Products: Lady Like Collection – P2877 Elsie |P2876 Jessica | CT974 Lady Like Collectables |Decorative Dies: DD484 DIY Flora Pansy |DD493 DIY Flora Leaves |DD825 Layered Rose |Art Foam-  SF920 Sage |SF908 Blossom |SF901 White |Ink Pads – IP739 Flamingo |IP731 Berry |IP757 Permanent |SB794 Pearls Snow|CS752 Clear Stamp Script |Wooden Flourishes-FL613 Pretty | FL601 Bollywood

OTHER: Crackle Paint

To break up the background, I tore up JESSICA reverse and adhered it to the centre of ELISE. It adds the vintage feel I wanted to achieve.

I also created some art foam flowers in different sizes as embellishments for my layout. I also used some Kaiser ink pads to alter white art foam to achieve the colours that I wanted.

I selected flourishes and altered them using crackle paint to frame my photo and also add a layer to my florals.

I also incorporated collectable items including florals, butterflies and vintage clock. I used the florals as a base to build my other flowers upon and they help to add dimension to the layout.
