Explore Scrapbook Layout

Hello, Kaisercraft friends. Donna here with my take on the Unchartered Waters collection.

Download the PDF instruction HERE or click the main image above.

PRODUCTS USED:PAPERS: UNCHARTERED WATERS Collection: P2854 Pelagic
KAISERCRAFT PRODUCTS: PP1079 Paper Pad, SK819 Sticker Book, CR219 Curios, CS373 Clear Stamps, FL660 Flourish Pack, CT973 Collectables, IT498 Designer Template – Bubbles, DD482 Decorative Die Textured Netting, IP747 Ink Pad – Denim, T303 Foam Tape, T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue

Other: Molding Paste

I added some texture first using the PELAGIC paper (reverse) as the background, with stencil and molding paste.

I also loved how the Texture Netting decorative die added to the mixed media background as well as to the clusters and layers of papers, flourishes and die cuts under and around the photo.

I kept the wood flourishes as is to mix with the color palette of the collection. Then I stamped in random places using the clear stamp and Denim ink pad.
I have a tip for you as well, don’t throw away the paper product strips, you can use it like I did here, to add some wonderful word arts to your layout.

That’s all from me today. I hope you liked my layout as much as I do.

Thank you for dropping by!

Happy crafting,

Crafternoon Mini-album

Hello, Kaisercraft friends. It’s Donna here sharing a project I created using the Crafternoon collection.

I was inspired by the Fancy Doily Decorative Die and created a mini-album using the die as the base.

PDF instructions can be downloaded HERE or by clicking the main image above.

KAISERCRAFT PRODUCT USED: CRAFTERNOON Collection: P2817  Santa & Co., P2819 Under The TreeSK815 Sticker book, PP1075 Paper Pad, CT969 Collectables, CR215 Curios, FL656 Flourish Pack, KM132 Gold Shimmer, IT495 Scattered Stars, EM405 Doily, T315 Double-Sided Tape, T303 Foam Tape, T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue

Technique Tuesday – Clusters and Layers

Hello, Donna here with this week’s Technique Tuesday post. Today, I am showing you how to create a scrapbook layout with layers and clusters without adding too much bulk.

PDF instructions can be downloaded HERE or by clicking the main image above.

KAISERCRAFT PRODUCT USED: PEPPERMINT KISSES Collection: P2817  Santa & Co., P2819 Under The Tree, SK815 Sticker book, PP1075 Paper Pad, CT969 Collectables, CR215 Curios, FL656 Flourish Pack, KM132 Gold Shimmer, IT495 Scattered Stars, EM405 Doily, T315 Double-Sided Tape, T303 Foam Tape, T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue
OTHER: Molding Paste, Pink Embroidery Thread

Use SANTA & Co. (Reverse) as the background for this layout. Cut UNDER THE TREE, trimming the bottom and left side part and adhere to the background as seen in the image (set aside the leftover for later). Use Scattered Starts template and molding paste to add texture. Slightly fold the edges of UNDER THE TREE

Get another piece of SANTA & Co. paper and fussy cut the patterns. Do the same with the patterns from UNDER THE TREE paper left over from the previous one.

Adhere the fussy cut trees and some Collectables to the top left part. Then add a white doily and pink embroidery thread. Place the photo using foam tape for a bit of dimension. Start embellishing with stickers and border pieces from the paper pad.

Continue embellishing the layout up to the bottom part until you’re satisfied with the layers and clusters. For the final touch, add some splatter of gold using the Gold Shimmer Kaiser Mist. Then the layout is done!

And here is the finished layout

Merry Christmas Scrapbook Layout

Hello, Kaisercraft friends. It’s Donna here with my take on, Starry Night.

You can download the PDF instruction for this layout HERE or by clicking the main image above.

KAISERCRAFT SUPPLIES: STARRY NIGHT Collection: P2820 Daring, P2823 Magic, P2828 Radiant, SK816 Sticker book, CT970 Collectables, CR216 Curios, FL657 Flourish Pack, KM132 Gold Shimmer, EM405 Doily, T315 Double-Sided Tape, T303 Foam Tape, T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue
OTHER: white embroidery thread

I wanted to highlight a big shape on my layout and I opted to use a star. I cut 3 pieces of this shape from RADIANT (Reverse) and mounted the biggest in the middle with foam tape for dimension.

I used the placement of the stars as the starting point of the layout design.

The background paper I used helped me to create something magical and beautiful without too much effort. To make it more like a Winter Wonderland layout, I used the Scattered Stars template and molding paste to add a snowflake effect.

Best Ever Dad Scrapbook Layout

Hello, Kaisercraft friends. Donna here with my layout using the Workshop collection, perfect for the special men in our lives, dads!

For today’s post, I created a simple scrapbook layout of my husband and daughter.

Click the main image above, download the PDF instructions here

Or click the slider below for step-by-step photos and instructions.

[metaslider id=83988 cssclass=””]

Kaisercraft products used:  WORKSHOP Collection: P2799 Strapping, PP1073 Paper Pad, SK813 Sticker Book, CT967 Collectables, FL654 Flourish Pack, IT487 Distressed Diamonds, KM 129 Navy, KM132 Gold, SB792 Chocolate, IP724 Bark, T303 Foam Tape, T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue

The photos I used were a bit colorful so I converted them to B & W to complement the blue and brown color palette of the Workshop collection.

I added interesting details by distressing, inking and using foam mounting tape for dimension/depth.

I like lifting or curling the edges of photos, die-cuts or stickers for added texture.

I hope this layout inspired you to create something for the special dads in your lives. I would love to hear your thoughts and any questions just leave them in the comment section. Thank you for dropping by!

“Dream” Magical Scene Layout

Hello! Donna here with a magical layout using the Enchanted collection.

I loved working on this layout. I played with it quite a bit at the beginning because I can’t decide which paper to use as the background. I finally decided using WHIMSY and created a beautiful, magical scene.

Click the image above or click HERE to download the instructions for this layout.

PAPERS: ENCHANTEDCollection – P2784Whimsy, P2791 Utopia, P2792 Wonder

KC PRODUCTS: SK812 Sticker Book, CT966 Collectables, EM405 White Doily, KM132Gold Shimmer, KM121 White, T302Mounting Tape, T321 Glue

I love fussy cutting and I always look for papers in a collection which I can do that. The Enchanted collection has several and the UTOPIA paper is just that.

I created a wreath-like design following the shape of the tree in the background and used a mixture of mounting tape, thick and thin, to create some depth.

Check out the slide show below for more detailed shots of the layout.

Happy crafting,

Love Life Scrapbook Layout

Hello, loves. Donna here with a new layout using the Magenta collection.

For a change, I created a scrapbook layout using my photo, so it’s like an “About Me” page. I like flowers and pink is my fave color so it’s just quite apt, I think.

Click the image above or HERE to download the PDF instructions for this layout.

The pop of black and the “naked” wood flourishes added great contrast to all the pinks in the layout. I opted to leave the flourishes as is instead of coloring them with black or something else.

One of the things I love doing recently is curling the tips or edges of the flowers and leaves. I like the added texture it gives to the layout.

That’s all from me today. Thank you for dropping by and see you in my next post.

Happy crafting,

Life is a journey

Hello, wonderful Kaisercraft friends. It’s Donna here to share my layout using the Journey collection.

This collection is perfect for those vintage lovers and travel-loving scrapbookers. Although I don’t really travel much, I have some photos that really matched the feel of this layout. Living in Saudi Arabia = desert. Lots and lots of it. I used an oldie but a fave photo I took from one of our desert escapades way back about 6 years ago.

I love the rugged feel and the blue and yellow tones in the collection. Even the cactus is a perfect accent to my layout!

PAPERS: JOURNEY Collection: P2768 Vagabond, P2769 Adventurer, P2771 Roamer

KC PRODUCTS: SK810 Sticker Book, PP1070 Paper Pad, CT964 Collectables, CR210 Curios, FL651 Flourish Pack, Kaiser Mists – KM129 Navy, KM132 Gold Shimmer, KM212 White, KM127 Turquoise, IP753 Licorice, CS358 Leather Texture Stamp, DD806 Cut out Patterns, GC106 Bronze, T303 Foam Tape, T314 Double-Sided Tape, T321 Acid-free craft glue

I started with splattering watered down Kaiser mists to Vagabond. I let it dry first before adhering the papers and embellishments down.
Tip: Try to splatter in different height from the background to get different sizes of splatters and/or you can use different brush sizes to get different splatter effects.

Use scissors or any tool to distress the edges of the papers and the photo. Incorporating different texture of papers like glittered cardstock enhances the overall look of a layout. I used a couple here die cutting a glittered cardstock.

Here is a slideshow for more detailed shots of the finished layout:

That’s all from me today. I hope you liked my layout! Until next time…
