Be Brave Be Creative

Hey hey Kaisercraft fans.  Welcome!  Jo here with you today to share with you a layout I have created using the new Crafternoon collection.

Kaisercraft products:  Crafternoon   P2845 DIY | CR572 Collectables | CS369 Clear Stamp | PP1078 Paper Pad | Fl659 Flourishes

I found my my starting point and a bit of inspiration form the cut a part sheet so decided to build my layout around that.

To begin I cut a piece of white cardstock down and placed it over the pretty gingham papers.

Before I adhered them to the page I stamped around the page using the clear stamps from the collection.

I then made two paper clusters.  One for my photo to sit on and one for my quote to sit on.

I then started to tuck under all my little pieces from the collectables and added the branding strips along the top and bottom of the gingham just to frame it all a little.

Do What You Love

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a layout that I have created using the fun floral collection called Crafternoon. It’s a collection that connects to crafters and creaters who love to make things. We get so busy in our everyday activities, that sometimes we need to find time for ourselves, to do the things we we love.

Kaisercraft Products: CRAFTERNOON Collection: P2840 Crochet |P2816 Minty |P2843 Measured |P2841 Backstitch |CT972 Crafternoon Collectables |Decorative Dies: DD484 DIY Flora Pansy |DD811 3D layered Peony |Art Foam: SF920 Sage |SF905 Apricot |SF902 Ivory |IP737 Ink Pad Burnt Orange| SB794 Pearls Snow

OTHER: Paper Doilies

I took the opportunity to create some artfoam flowers to compliment the background paper of my layout. I used two sizes of flowers to add interest. I used a coordinating Kaisercraft ink pad to ink the centre of my smaller flower to connect my flowers.

I used the doilies and measuring tapes to connect sewing to my layout. Not only is it a pretty addition to a ‘girly’ layout, but it is one of the crafts that I do enjoy doing when I have some spare time. It was the predominant craft that I did before papercraft became my main craft.

This sentiment from the collectables just sums everything up….just do what you love. Create something for you! Find the time and and create even it’s for five minutes.

My Crafty Space – Crafternoon

Hi Everyone, Chrissy here with a layout I’ve created using the fabulous “Crafternoon” collection. Oh yes…a collection about crafting!!! I love all the little fun crafty sentiments and imagery. So for my layout I decided to use a black & white photo of my craft room.

Products used: Crafternoon Collection: P2838 Handmade|P2841 Back Stitch|P2842 Crafty|P2843 Measured|P2845 DIY|P2846 Cut & Paste|FL659 Crafternoon Flourish Pack|SB777 Black Rhinestones

Other products: DMC thread|Butterfly punch

For this layout I decided to pick out a couple of colours from the collection, I just love the minty green and yellow papers then added a splash of black with some of the sentiments and painted wood flourishes – and thought a black and white photo would work perfectly.

How cute are these teeny tiny images of paint tubes, brushes and that manakin – these were fussy cut from the Handmade paper. I painted the Wooden flourish buttons black and added yellow coordinating thread to them.

I fussy cut all the beautiful flowers and leaves from the Back Stitch paper and the Making Memories hoop from the DIY paper. I have tried to add things and items to my layout that captures my love of scrapbooking – the tiny needle represents my passion of stitching on layouts, the little black scissors below for my other passion – fussy cutting.

More fussy cut flowers – next to the tiny Wooden Flourish scissors, which I also painted black

I have throughly enjoyed using this fabulous crafty collection and hope I have inspired you to create with it and I look forward to seeing those creations over on the Kaisercraft Corner facebook/ page. You can also find all these lovely Kaiser goodies over on the website.

Happy scrapping!!!

“I felt this range of papers told the story of crafters and felt it would make a great memory of the Kaiser design team 2019/20”. AmG.

This range has colours which are bright and cheerful which is how we scrapbookers are most of the time. For me crafting is happiness & all the quotes and sayings pertained to how I feel when I’m making memories for my family and friends. I selected a large photo which is double matted and raised to add dimension. After creating my base pages I started gathering the collectables, lots of fussy cutting of doilies, flowers and leaves and stickers which I adhered to cardstock to enable them to be mounted with foam tape.

I then proceeded to build my left and right side flourish of embellishments to be slightly similar, then adhered them in place. On the left page I used the main quote: we gather up pictures….. as an image mounted on foam tape I tucked pretties around using DS tape and foam tape . I tucked more pretties around the photo, added some curios and wooden flourishes to complete.

There are full instructions for this double layout project downloadable and /or printable available HERE. I hope I have inspired you to have a crafternoon with this Crafternoon range .

Happy Scrapping till next time

Creative with Crafternoon

Hello crafty friends!

OMG this is such a cute range – and the colours are just fabulous, love the pastel hues and all the gorgeous elements. And I found the perfect photo!

I just could not resist …. how cute is this? I have used bits from the collectables, the 6″x6″ paper pad, the stickers and the curios.

I have used the P2843 “Measured” paper as my background, and then used papers from the 6½”x6½” paper pad to arrange the matting, as well as the P2839 Decoupage paper. I have also used some of the die cuts at the back as part of the layering. I have done some fussy cutting to add the flowers and the extra leaves from P2841 “Back Stitch” paper. The rulers are all from the papers also in the paper pad. I have added a curios and some of the collectables to make up the cluster.

I have created a banner from the sticker book and added this to the corner. I have also inked the edges to make the banner pop.

I have then finished off by add the cut off strip from the P2843 paper. (To add – check out the whole collection – there are so many cool sayings on the strips of this collection!)

These are the products I have used – which can be found at Kaisercraft shop collections

Happy creating!

Handmade layout by Hetty Hall

Hi there Kaiser Fans it is Hetty with you again today sharing a layout using the lovely soft colours and prints in the Crafternoon collection. This collection suits all sort of themes but for this layout I choose a crafty photo seeing that was what this collection was created for.

PAPERS: P2844 Embroidery|P2841 Back Stitch|CT 972 Collectables|

KC PRODUCTS: Rhinestone Flourish|foam dots

I think the black and white photo really stands out against the soft pastel colours and I just love all those printed stitched embellishments.

I kept this layout pretty simply and tried to work with the design on the printed paper. I tend to this a lot as all the hard work is done for you but still makes for a fantastic layout. So I added a bit of colour behind my photo to make it pop a little and started working on my design by arranging all my collectable die cut pieces. I tried to pick pieces relevant to the photo even though they use pencils I thought the brushes and pallet fitted in just fine. I layered everything with foam dots, I find the extra dimension really makes a layout come to life.

You will be able to find full instructions for this layout here.

Before I go I thought I would share a second layout I made with this collection. On this one I used a lot of fussy cutting so there was a bit more work involved with this one but love how it turned out.

That is all for me for now, happy crafting!

Until next time….

Challenge #10 – Folding Paper

I created this folded gift card holder using the Crafternoon Collection. I love folding quick and easy things and this one was so easy and super cute for gift giving especially with the Festive season in mind.
Design Team member Annette created this amazing card with its folded details. She used Under the Gum Leaves – the chevrons have folded ends and a rosette as focal point. How stunning!
And a side view of her amazing folding.

Now it’s your turn to create some folded inspiration for us. A Design Team member will choose one or two submissions at the end of the month and you can win one of our collection packs.
For your chance to win upload a photo of your project to the KAISERCRAFT CORNER in the Challenge 10 Folder with the hashtag #KCChallenge10FoldingPaper
Please make sure you tag your entry and load in the album to be able to stand a chance of winning.
Thank you for playing along – we can’t wait to see what you create! Love Jowilna x

Technique Tuesday – Sewing and stamping

Welcome to another Technique Tuesday on the blog. Today I am sharing a quick and easy way of adding some texture and detail to stamped images. I love using my stamps in different ways and this is such an easy way of dressing up your stamped details.

Kaisercraft: Crafternoon Collection P2841 Back Stitch; P2845 DIY; SK818 Sticker Book;
PP1078 Paper Pad; CT972 Collectables
Kaisercraft Products: SB782 Denim Pearls; Rhinestones; CS369 Clear Stamps; IP752 Smoke

I stamped the heart onto my background and then used a paper piercer to pierce holes, before adding sewing to the outlines of the heart and the crosses inside. Heres how I did it:
Stamp the image onto smooth white cardstock.
Use your paper piercer and pierce holes at the end of each line.
Thread your needle and make a knot at the end. Start sewing from the back to the front and then to the back – keep going until you have sewn all the crosses and the border. Adhere the end of the thread using double sided tape at the back.
For an even cleaner sewn look, you can use a lighter colour ink or the same colour as the thread you are using.
A lovely quick and easy way to add detail to your stamped images – by using the stamped lines as a guide to add sewing.
Until next time – Happy stamping and sewing! Jowilna x

My Crafty Haven

Hello all! It’s Lisa here today to share some crafty goodness with you all.
I have been working with the Crafternoon Collection and I wanted to scrapbook a layout about my art room, my Crafty Haven. This collection was perfect for my layout.

I have made a double layout, with multiple photos. Something different for me.
I have started with two sheets of the Crafty paper.

I have then cut 1″ strips of the patterned papers and cut these into pieces with 45-degree angle ends. I have then arranged these pieces into chevron strips across my pages.
I have then zig zag stitched up and down each line.

Next I have fussy cut florals, doilies and measuring tape strips to use on my layout. I have layered these over my chevron strips.

I have done this across both pages. I have then matted my photos and adhered them to my page.

I have used cardboard to raise them from my page.

I have then added some florals next to my photos.

For my title I have used stickers from the sticker Book, matted onto card stock, and trimmed to size.
I have cut it in half and adhered it across my two pages.

I have used some of the embroidery hoops from the collection for sentiments.
I have layered these onto doily collectables.

The colours of my art room match the collection! hahaha perfect!

I am loving the pop of colours on the yellow background papers!

I hope that you like what I have created, it was fun to do something I wouldn’t normally do. I’m really happy with how it turned out.
