Techique Tuesday – Die Cut Inlay

Hello and welcome to another Technique Tuesday.

I thought I would share with you a little technique that I love to do – die cut inlay.

Kaisercraft products: PP1083 paper pad | DD3329 Lily decorative die

It is such an easy technique and a pair of tweezers will make the job a little easier!

To start I die cut out using white cardstock and discard all the little pieces.

I then die cut it again 2 times, one using some green paper and then again using some of the pink. Save all these little pieces. I pop them in a dish so they don’t get lost.

Adhere your white die cut outline to your paper. Then add just a small amount of glue to each section and with tweezers add each piece. Some dies are intricate so you may need a little patience!

Here is an example of some I did with last months Grand Bazaar collection.

I hope I have inspired you a little today to give this technique a try. Don’t forget to share on your creations on our Kaisercraft Corner page on Facebook. We love to see your work!

Until next time

Grateful

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. I cannot believe how quickly time has passed and that this post will be my last for 2019….more new projects to follow in the new year. My layout features papers from the December release Grand Bazaar Collection from Kaisercraft and it is titled “Grateful.” At the end of each year, we truly have so much to be grateful for, even in times when we are surrounded by hardship such as the bushfires and drought. We can only hope that the new year brings us a positive start and the much needed rain we are all praying for.

OTHER: Modelling Paste |Bling Centres |Stamens, DD703 Fabulous Decorative Die

I have altered some paper blooms to use in my layout. To learn how to do this I have a tutorial in a previous blog post or you can click here to view the video.

I really liked the sentiments found in the tags from the collectables and incorporated these into my layout just by tucking them in at the end of my borders.

I created my own title by using a word die and kraft cardstock. I kept my embellishments muted so they would compliment the papers and also not compete with the colours of the boys’ clothing.

Grand Bazaar Doors – Group Post

Today the Design Team have used the P2870 ‘Doorway’ paper, in full or in part, on their works.
They have some gorgeous projects showcasing the many ways to use this page.

I Love this exotic collection the colours are absolutely gorgeous, I particularly love the combination of the mustard and green colours against the woodgrain paper – so picked out the colour coordinating doors from the Doorway paper to create my layout. I layered the doors either side of my photo going diagonally across my layout.

I fell in love with these doors when I received the Grand Bazaar collection.
I was so happy to be able to create a layout where they were the feature leading your eye across my page. I have made them travel on a diagonal to make my page flow.

I love the richness of colours and the texture you can almost feel on these doors. I decided to just layer them over each other and use it as a base for my photo to sit on.

I used the Doors page to create some quick cards. Combined with my Collectibles pack and some stickers these cards turned out even better than what I imagined.
I simply added some quick elements to decorate the doors after adhering them to the center of my cards.
Foam tape for raising elements adds interest with its dimension, some Gold Kaiser mist splats and diamante adds to the rich feel of the papers and elements.

A Grand Affair

Today on the blog I am sharing this single page layout using the stunning Grand Bazaar Collection. This range has the most beautiful rich colours and can be so versatile working for a myriad of crafting projects.

Products used: Grand Bazaar Collection P2868 Boho Paisley
KC Products: SK821 Sticker Book | CT975 Collectables | KM130 Brown Kaiser Mist | KM129 Navy Kaiser Mist | Gold Kaiser Mist
Other: Diamante, Button, Brad

I love adding the Gold Kaiser mist splatters to the darker shades of papers – they show up so well and adds to the rich and opulent look.
Stickers and Collectibles raised using foam tape always makes for a nice touch.
I added some brads and diamante in rich colours to match the papers.
Sticker strips from the sticker book as well as thin coloured sticker strips was added below the photo creating some interest with their straight lines.

Until next time I hope you are inspired by this range to create some beautiful layouts capturing those special memories. Jowilna xxx

Mini Album – Grand Bazaar

Today I am up on the blog using the Grand Bazaar collection to make a 4½” x 6½” mini album. I love the colours of this collection and the gorgeous patterns.

Products used: PK615 Paper collection; PP1081 6½” x 6½” paper pad; SK821 Sticker book; FL662 Flourish Pack; CT975 Collectables: CD512 Kraft C6 Card Pack; IT913 Leafy Stencil; Kaisercraft Kraft Cardstock

I have used the CD512 Kraft C6 Card pack and kraft stock as the base of my album – even using a card to create the spine and using the envelopes to create the pages. I have used precut chip board to make this.

The cover has been made with the P2868 Boho Paisley paper, and then I have stencilled IT913 Leafy stencil with textured paste on the front cover and then used the bar strips P2872 Free Spirited paper top and bottom and then created the front cover with collectables and the sticker book

Here are some sample pages from the album:

I have created a video walk through of the mini album. To have a look, click here

This is my last post for 2019 – wishing you and your family all of the best over the Festive Season and best wishes for 2020.

Be Kind by Hetty Hall

Good morning everyone, Hetty with you today. Welcome to the blog and thanks heaps for visiting. Today I am sharing a layout using Grand Bazaar, look at all those stunning colours, very warm and rich, just gorgeous!

PRODUCTS USED:
PAPERS: P2866 Folklore | P2868 Boho Paisley | P2870 Doorway
| P2872 Free Spirited | CR 221 Curios |

KC PRODUCTS: Corrugated Cardboard | Art Foam | Layered Rose Decorative Die |

Lots of fussy cutting on this layout, so much fun cutting out the Paisley images from the ‘Boho Paisley’ paper. I usually do all my fussy cutting while sitting and chatting with my family and or friends or even watching some tv, always trying to multi task lol. I used a lot of door images from the ‘Doorway’ paper to layer behind my photo and create a photo mat background, tucking some of them in among the layers of papers. All the fussy cut images were layered around my photo and design adhered with foam dots to create many layers and dimension. The flowers were cut from some blossom art foam with the layered rose die and arranged on top all the fussy cut images. A bit of corrugated cardboard and cheese clots was added behind my photo to create a bit more texture.

You will be able to find fully instructions for this layout here.

That is it for me today, happy crafting.

Until next time…

Hugs

Hetty

Adventures with Grand Bazaar

Hello Kaisercraft fans! It’s Lisa here today to share some scrappy goodness with you!
I have been busy playing with the gorgeous ‘Grand Bazaar’ collection.
This is what I have created

PRODUCTS USED:
PAPERS: GRAND BAZAAR Collection: P2865 Collective, P2867 Ceramic Tiles, P2868 Boho Paisley, P2870 Doorway, P2872 Free Spirited, P2873 Carefree,
PP1081 Paper Pad
KC PRODUCTS: CT975 Collectables, SK821 Sticker Book, CD301 Snow Card Stock, Kaiser Mists – KM123 Rose Gold, KM129 Navy

For this layout I have started with a white card stock background.
I have used my Kaiser Mists for a bit of splattering in Rose Gold & Navy.

I have done a bit of fussy cutting for this layout, using the florals in the papers, and the Paper Pad, along with cutting apart elements from the papers.

I have started to build up my layers using some fussy cut pieces and collectable and die-cut elements.

I have then added some of the patterned papers and more elements to my layers.

I have layered some of the fussy cut florals with gold foiled fussy cut florals from the Paper Pad.

I have then added my photo and more of the fussy cut elements.

I have tucked these into my layers, and used foam tape for some of them, for dimension.

I have also built up a layered corner cluster of elements for my page.

I hope that you like what I have created.
You can find the full instructions for this layout HERE.

Until next time!
Lisa

Blessed | Grand Bazaar Scrapbook Layout

Hello! It’s Donna here again with my take on the Grand Bazaar collection.

I made a scrapbook layout with white cardstock as a background to showcase the beautiful color palette of this collection.

Download the PDF instruction HERE or click the main image above.

PRODUCTS USED: PAPERS: GRAND BAZAAR Collection: P2871 Persian Rug
KAISERCRAFT PRODUCTS: PP1081 Paper pad, SK821 Sticker book, CR221 Curios, CT975 Collectables, FL662 Flourish Pack, KM132 Kaiser Mist Gold, CD601 White, EM405 Doily, T315 Double-Sided Tape, T303 Foam Tape, T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue,
Other: White embroidery thread, sequins

I love this particular paper in the collection, PERSIAN RUG. I fussy cut just the center and cut it in half and adhered to the right and left side of the layout. This will be the starting point of the diagonal design of the layout.

I placed the feathers from the Collectables pack going down diagonally towards the lower left side of the layout to create movement.

I used thin foam tape to create a subtle dimension to some of the embellishments especially the stickers and Collectables. The gold Kaiser mist and as well as the scatters of sequins all over the layout added a bit of texture. Then I just simply added a few lines of journaling to complete the layout.

That’s all from me today and I hope you liked my layout using the Grand Bazaar collection. Do leave your comments or questions, I love reading your comments.

Thank you for dropping by and see you in my next post!

Happy crafting,

Grand Bazaar – Thankful for you

Hi Everyone, Chrissy here with my first project for December using the gorgeous & exotic “Grand Bazaar” collection. I love the bright rich colours in this collection and the flowers on the “Boho Paisley” paper were just perfect for fussy cutting.

Kaisercraft Products Used: Grand BazaarP2866 Folklore|P2867 Ceramic Tiles x3|P2868 Boho Paisley x 2|FL662 Flourish Pack|

Other Products Used: SB793 Black Pearls|CD324 Crimson Kaisercard|Red Thread for sewing

I used the Crimson Kaisercard for my base, I love adding coordinating card stock as a frame for my layouts. On top of this I matted the reverse side of the “Folklore” paper and added bright red hand stitching. On top of this I matted the mustard side of the “Ceramic Tiles” paper (with more stitching) I fussy cut all the tiles from another piece of the “Ceramic Tiles” paper.

I picked out the tiles from the paper with mainly the dark blues & reds on them. The Wooden flourishes make great titles, I coloured the “Thankful for you” Flourish using black and yellow ink pads.

I fussy cut the flowers from the “Boho Paisley” paper and arranged them around my photo, I love the detail on these flowers

This layout has lots of height, I love using foam pads to some of the fussy cut flowers to achieve this. I also like to curl and shape them.

I loved using this beautiful collection and hope i have inspired you to have a play – and look forward to seeing your creations using it over on Kaiser Corner.

You can find this beautiful collection and other Kaisercraft products over on the Kaisercraft website

See you soon, happy crafting!!!
