The background paper I used helped me to create something magical and beautiful without too much effort. To make it more like a Winter Wonderland layout, I used the Scattered Stars template and molding paste to add a snowflake effect.

Layering the wood flourishes, stickers and rhinestones create depth and fun details.

I like using use foam tape on die-cuts for dimension.

That’s all from me today. I hope liked my layout! I love reading your comments on my projects so just leave some in the comments section and if you have any queries I would gladly answer as much as I can.

All products to create this layout are available online at the Kaisercraft Shop.

Thank you for dropping by and have a happy crafty day!

SPARKLE – Let it Shine Collection

Hello and Welcome,
It’s Annette here, delighted to be sharing my first project as a member of the Kaisercraft Design Team. This collection is so pretty, the shades of turquoise with shiny silver and white, just perfect non-traditional Christmas pages or snow holidays. I chose to create a LO of my daughter, who always leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes.

PAPER: LET IT SNOW Collection: P2808 All is Calm, P2806 Pine Forest, plus reverse & quote strip, P2803 Delightful, P2804 Twinkle Star
KC PRODUCTS: Cardstock: 2 x Slate,1 x White. Die cut, F632Flowers, SK814Sticker Book, Rhinestones- Clear, KM127Kaiser Mist, Flourish pack – Shine small wooden snowflakes,
OTHER: Silver Glitter, Lace and larger wooden snowflakes.

I love to frame my pages, so using the deep SLATE grey as my base and then WHITE cardstock, I felt it highlighted the completed page perfectly. Distressing and shabbying ?? (is that really a word) is another feature of my scrapbooking ‘style’.

I also triple matted my photos as they are the main focal point. Don’t we scrapbook is to tell a story however simple about our photos?
I also misted, added rhinestones and glitter to complement the title ‘SPARKLE’.

There are many layers of prettiness with lace and clusters, I hope you like what I have created. if you wish to create your version of my Layout the instructions can be found HERE.

Bye for now, Happy Scrapping, Annette x

Wonderful – Layout by Hetty Hall

Hi there Kaiser Fans, welcome back to another blog post from me, Hetty with you today. I have to say I am in love with the collections Kaisercraft brings out that contain the foil, they just add that bit of extra pizzazz don’t you think?

PAPERS: Let it Snow Collection: P2807 Shimmering|
CT968 Collectables|CR214 Curios|

KC PRODUCTS:|Foam Tape|Foam dots|

The Collectables make it so easy to put together a quick page, looks like you used lots of products.

Check out that beautiful foil touch and this is also a close up of a Curio used, love them!

I had fun actually using multiple photos, I generally tend to just use one but being a Christmas page I thought it would be a good idea to add a few more, I do like how this turned out.

I hope I inspired you to visit your local craft store and buy this collection and start working on your Christmas layouts.

You will find full instructions for this project here.

That is it for me today – Happy Crafting!

Until next time……

Let it snow Card set

It’s so hard each year to choose your favorite Christmas Paper range and colour scheme. But this range I think may be one of my favorites. With its soft palette and silver foiled accents it makes for the most amazing projects. I chose to make some quick and easy cards using the gorgeous elements teamed with some neutral elements – making these cards suitable for anyone.

Kaisercraft Products used: Let it Snow Collection PP1074 Paper Pad, FL655 Flourish Pack, CT968 Collectables, SB700 Silver Rhinestones, Cream Pearls, Foam Tape.

I used my flourishes and inked them using some my metallic silver ink pad, and then added a layer of dimensional glaze.
Some kraft snowflakes work so well alongside the flourishes – picking up on the wood still peeking out from the sides, while the inked silver surface ties beautifully in with the paper and silver foiling.
Minimalist embellishments in the form of a few pearls and diamonds finished off my cards.
I love how easy it is to make cards using the paper pad, collectibles and flourishes. Until next time – we can’t wait to see what you create with this range of products! Jowilna

Technique Tuesday – Inking Edges

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

This Let It Snow collection was right up my alley – not only is teal my absolute favourite colour, it also oozes sparkle, shine and shimmer. A perfect combination. And when I saw the papers and the silver stars, the photo of my daughter doing a make-up demo with star sequins was perfect.

Products used: P2802 Falling Snowflakes, P2804 Twinkle Star, P2806 Pine Forest, P2807 Shimmering, P2808 All is Calm, P2809 O’Christmas Tree (2 of these), CT968 Collectables, CR214 Curios, SK814 Sticker Book, Kaisercraft foam tape, IP745 Sea Breeze Ink Pad, IP746 Peacock Ink Pad, CS372 Paint Splatter Texture Stamp

Today, I am going to talk about inking the edges of your papers. An old scrapbooking technique, but a really useful and simple way to enhance your layouts. Whether you ink the edges in the same colour theme or mix and match the colours to the colours on your page, it all makes a lovely feature.

In my layout I have inked the edges of all my pieces of paper, collectables and the piece of fussy cut pine leaves. You can use your ink pad straight to the paper at a perpendicular angle and run up the edge, or you can use a dauber or a blending tool. I have gone with a blending tool (with changeable sponges so as not to mix your colours).

Hold your paper close to the edge you want to ink and hold your blending tool at an angle. The closer the gap to the paper (the flatter your blending tool), the wider your inked edge will be on the edge of the paper.

Inked edges make a lovely finishing edge to papers.

Here are some close-ups to my layout – the edges of the collectables are also lightly inked

Hope you enjoy this collection as much as I have.

Believe – Let It Snow

Hello Everyone,

It’s Trudi with you today sharing a project created from the truly magical Let It Snow Collection.  The foiled elements of this collection are exquisite!  My daughter’s sparkly silver Christmas hat coordinated with the silver foiled elements of this collection beautifully.

Here is my layout:

KC Papers: Let It Snow P208 All Is Calm, P2810 Wonderland, PP1074 Paper Pad

KC Products: Let It Snow SK814 Sticker Book ,CT968 Collectables, Rhinestone Strips , Pearls

Other: Decorative Edged Circle Die

All Is Calm creates the base of my layout.  I have used the part striped side up –  The reverse of this paper has lots of sentiments which would be perfect for creating Christmas Cards.

3 x decorative edged circles were die cut from a lighter coloured coordinating paper from the paper pad.  These  were positioned behind the top left hand photo edge, and bottom left and right photo edges.KC-Layout-Let-It-Snow-2

Fussy cut elements are a perfect way of adding detail to a page.

The foiled flourishes on the Wonderland paper are just divine!  I fussy cut a few of these and arranged around the photo.  KC-Layout-Let-It-Snow-4  I also fussy cut some of the pine needles and pine cones from the the front of the paper and added these along were the two pattern designs meet on the background paper.

An embellishment cluster was created with Collectable elements and these were arranged to sit over the left hand edge of the photo.  KC-Layout-Let-It-Snow-3

A few Rhinestone Strips hang down from underneath the embellishments, a bauble from the Collectables attached to the middle one.  A few smaller baubles were added around the bottom edge of the photo.  KC-Layout-Let-It-Snow-Detai

Sparkle – Let It Snow

Hi Everyone, Chrissy here with my first official post for Kaisercraft, I just want to say again, thank you so very much for this amazing opportunity Melissa Kennedy.

For this post I am using the gorgeous “Let It Snow” Kaisercraft collection. The colours in this range are just beautiful and who doesn’t love a bit of foiling. My photo is of my daughter Merley, she loved dressing up at Christmas time in her fairy outfits.

Products used: P2803 Delightful|P2805 Snowfall|P2806 Pine Forest|P2809 O’Christmas Tree|P2810 Wonderful|CT968 Collectables|CR214 Curios|KM127 Turquoise Kaisermist|SB775 Aqua Marine Rhinestones

Other products used: DMC Thread|Tiny Star die-cuts

I started by layering up all the papers I wanted to use for my base, cut them to size then added some stitching around the edges using colour coordinating thread. I cut out a circle from the centre and tucked my photo in there just to make sure it looked ok. On reflection I decided to use a larger photo that filled the entire circle.

Now the fun bit……fussy cutting all the embellishments, I fussy cut all the beautiful foiled flourishes from the Wonderland paper, I love that when they are fussy cut they curl up and give that extra dimension on your project.

Once all the embellishments have been fussy cut, I like to arrange them around my layout without sticking them down.

I also used some of the collectables, these are just brilliant to tuck in and around your layout or project, some are just shapes others having lovely sayings on them. I have also added one of the pretty Curios to my project.

To finish off my layout I have added some rhinestones and tiny star die-cuts. This is such a beautiful collection, I have enjoyed working with and hope you do to, I look forward to seeing your creations.

Happy Crafting,

‘Tis the Season to Sparkle & Shine!

Let is Snow features the most beautiful shades of teals with a hint of silver

Happy day everyone!! It’s Deanna joining you today with two fabulous cards and I couldn’t be MORE EXCITED!! I am absolutely thrilled with this new collection from Kaisercraft–and it is dear to my heart!! I had the pleasure of working with Kaisercraft on this collaboration and it is so exciting to see it become real! Three years in the making (and begging!) and they made it look even better than it was in my dreams! I just can’t get enough of this timeless collection and know I’ll be stockpiling it for many future projects–it’s too pretty to cut!

Kaisercraft Products: PP1074 Paper Pad| CT968 Collectibles| P2805 All is Calm| GC103 Platinum Glitter| FC220 Gold & Silver foil pad| DD3343 Snowflakes Die
Other: Silver Dots|Large rhinestone

Teal is my favourite colour and I love all the different shades that are included in this line–they help to give added dimension to the papers. And of course they match perfect with all things silver–foil and glitter papers look great with these!

Layered snowflakes using the New Snowflakes die

I was super excited to see a brand NEW Snowflake die–a girl can never have too many of those in her stash! What I loved about this one is that you get TWO dies and they are the absolute perfect size for cardmaking. Plus they were designed to layer which is right up my alley–a pop dot in between makes the layers really stand out. I used the Platinum Glitter cardstock for my card mats but I did cut the snowflakes out of the new foil papers, which are a thinner weight and perfect for those intricate dies.

Here I used another snowflake from the new die set but this time I layered it with one of the elements from the Collectibles pack! There are so many fantastic pieces in there and these really dress up a snowflake.

Words are from the large 12×12 cutapart sheet–P2808 All is Calm

I used the 6.5″ Paper pad for all the patterns on my cards. The designs are a little smaller and work perfect for cardmakers. But I could not resist using the 12×12 cut apart–this is a carmakers dream!! I was in heaven with the huge assortment of festive words and quotes and the best part was the silver accents–they make everything sparkle!

Every 6.5″ paper pad features a huge array of diecuts and images in the back–ready to push out and use!

I always love little elements that add layers without bulk–these little tabs in the back of the paper pads are great for doing just that.

Kaisercraft Products: PP1074 Paper pad|CT968 Collectibles| P2805 All is Calm| RS402 Island Lagoon | FC220 Silver & Gold foil pad
Other: Stitched Rectangle die

I just can’t get enough of all the fabulous patterns that are in this line–snowflakes, diagonals and the always popular woodgrains. I used several of the collectibles on this card as accent pieces to frame my greeting in the center.

I like to use foam tape between my layers to create shadowing and depth–the same goes for adding the collectibles. These are usually cards that I hand delivery for those special people, but if I need to mail them, then I will (reluctantly) remove some of the foam tape.

I loved the Island Lagoon rhinestones–they were the perfect match of teal and really added a beautiful touch–doesn’t every card deserve some bling??

Once again I turned to the 12×12 cutapart for my greeting. This one I really trimmed down to make it fit my card. Each layer is matted with silver foil really accentuating the different patterns and colour hues. I also added a perforated greeting to the top of the card–these are in the back of your paper pad and are a great size for card greetings.

I sure hope you love Let it Snow as much as I do!! I’m so VERY grateful for all the hard work they put into this collection to bring my vision to life and I can’t wait to play and create even more over the next few weeks! It truly IS the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!

Tech Tuesday – Layering Elements

Hello all! It’s Lisa here today to share some inspiration and a technique with you.
I have been working with the Let It Snow Collection and this is what I have created

PAPERS: LET IT SNOW Collection: P2804 Twinkle Star, P2806 Pine Forest, P2807 Shimmering
KC PRODUCTS: CS365 Clear Stamp Set, SK814 Sticker Book, CT968 Collectables, CR214 Curios, IT495 Scattered Stars Template, Kaiser Mist KM127 Turquoise,
Ink Pads IP746 Peacock, IP752 Smoke, IP745 Seabreeze.
OTHER:Modelling Paste, gauze.

For this layout, I wanted to use the Clear Stamp Set to add extra trees and snowflakes, stamped in Seabreeze Ink, layering with the Collectables to create a forest around my photo.

I have started by building up my background, I have used the Scattered Stars Template to stencil first with Ink and then with modelling paste.
I have also stamped some snowflakes and splashed some Kaiser Mist in Turquoise.

I have started to add in some sticker strips and snowflakes from the Sticker Book.
Adhere some gauze to your layout.
I have then added some of the trees, to start my forest.

Once I have built the first layer of trees, I then adhered my photo, and added another layer of trees, some adhered with foam tape for dimension.

I have then added some more trees to the other side of my photo,
again layering some stamped and some collectable trees.

I have then started to add some more of the stamped snowflakes.

I have used one of the Curios from this collection.

A couple of the sentiments from the Collectables and the Sticker Book.

I hope that you like what I have created.
I am in love with the colours and snowflakes in this collection, just gorgeous!

Until next time!
Lisa xo
