Hello, Kaisercraft friends. It’s Donna here with my take on one of the newest collections from Kaisercraft.

I made a very simple scrapbook layout focusing on the photo of my friend’s baby announcement. The color palette and soft, delicate design of the collection perfectly suit my chosen photo.

The first thing I did was chose the papers I wanted to use. I wanted to utilize most but these are what I ended up using.

I used a border punch to add some texture to the paper strips. Then I placed them horizontally to the left side.

I fussy cut several flowers from one of the papers in the pack and also used the ones on the sticker sheet. I used foam tapes for a bit of dimension.

I folded the upper right corner and adhered a piece of patterned paper at the bottom. I secured the folded part with a couple of staplers.

Die cuts and stickers completed the layout. I love how this turned out, really simple yet pretty! The photo really stood out against the textured paper strips and flowers.

That’s all from me today. I hope you liked my layout ! See you in my next post

Lilac Mist 10 minute cards

Hi everyone, welcome to today’s blog post where I am sharing 2 quick cards. For me card making has to be quick. And although I appreciate those gorgeous fancy cards I ice when I think they will just be trashed one day – so for me personally quick and easy does the trick.

Kaisercraft: Lilac Mist Collection : PP1093 Paper Pad | CT994 Collectables
Other: Ink | Pearls- Snow | Card Pack – White |
For my first card I used 3 patterned papers from my 6×6 paper pad. I always like cutting these smaller papers to make multiple cards – it works so well.
Then added some die-cut elements from my Collectibles packet. I used the thin foam tape to raise some of the elements tucking things underneath the large square element. By simply adding foam tape to the center of the element I can easily tuck things under it.
My second card uses the remainder of the patterned paper pieces that I cut. It is really easy creating colour blocked cards using limited supplies – so there is really never an excuse for not being able to be creative.
Here I grouped my die-cut elements towards the bottom of the card where the larger pieces of patterned papers are split by the thin lilac strip. I finished off my cards using some pearls in various sizes and some ink splats.

Si in ten minutes or less I created these gorgeous cards using this amazing new range. And what better way to spoil someone with a handmade card, even if it may find its way to the landfill one day – for today it brings me joy creating a beautiful card and going through the creative process. Until next time – happy creating Jowilna xx

Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone! It’s been a very long while but I am very happy to be able to share a birthday card with you today. It’s using paper from Kaisercraft’s new release Lilac Mist.

Kaisercraft Products: Lilac Mist Collection: PP1093 Paper Pad | Kaisercard : CD343 Blueberry, CD301 Snow, CD114 Forest | Decorative Dies: DD547 Circle Vines, DD3335 Birthday Wishes, DD815 Sketched Circles | DIY Flora Dies DD493 Flora Leaves, DD494 Flora Branches | F643 Amethyst Paper Blooms | F659 Misty Mini Paper Blooms

Other: Hemp | Cherry Blossoms

To create my card, I wanted to showcase lots of the papers as I had a difficult time deciding which ones I wanted to use as I liked them all. To help me in my design decision, I pulled out of the paper pad some papers that were my first choice – which were four! Next I went to Pinterest and had a look at the card sketches. I often do this to kick start my ideas and then I found a sketch that appealed to me. This sketch would enable me to showcase the papers I selected plus provide me with some options in my composition.

My take on the sketch………

To get the dimensions of the smaller squares, I just cut out scrap paper and played around with them until I was happy with everything.

Once my papers were positioned, I embellished with flowers and dies from previous releases.
