Grateful for Rocks Layout

From the day my little guy was walking he would collect rocks and bring them home, whether they were tiny or boulders, we would lug them home to add to his collection. Although Morning Dew is a very feminine collection I couldn’t resist using the rocks in the Breathe paper to create this layout.

WITH LOVE Collection: P2758 Breathe, P2760 Calming, PP1069 Paper Pad, CT963 Collectables.
KC PRODUCTS:  CS360 Tiny Dot Texture Stamp, IT493 Distressed Dots Template, KM132 Gold Shimmer Kaiser Mist, KM126 Lime & KM127 Turquoise Kaiser Mist, IP752 Smoke Kaiser Ink, CD601 White Cardstock.

  • Use white cardstock as your background and spray Gold ink through the stencil to create your first layer of colour. Allow to dry, or speed up the process with a heat tool.
  • Mix the Lime and Turquoise mist together to create and apply to background with a brush or using the packaging technique.
  • Matt your photograph with CALMING (reverse) and papers from the paper pad.
  • Fussy cut some the rocks from BREATHE (reverse) and add around your photograph.
  • Add some texture to the background with the Tiny Dot texture stamp and Smoke ink.
  • Tuck in some collectables around the image as well as a couple tabs from the back of the paper pad. Use one of the barcode strip from CALMING as a subtitle.

So next time you are creating with a collection, look outside the box and if a paper in the collection jumps out at you then create your layout based on that piece of paper to help you tell a story.

Tech Tuesday – Creating backgrounds using Clear Stamps – Morning Dew

Hello Kaisercraft Fans!
It’s Lisa here today to share a technique, and some cards with you.
I have created two mixed media cards,
by creating my own backgrounds using the Clear Stamps.
I have also made some traditional cards for those who don’t like getting messy 🙂

I have used the gorgeous Morning Dew collection to create these cards.

PAPERS: MORNING DEW Collection: PP1069 Paper Pad
KC PRODUCTS:  CS354 Clear Stamp Set, CT963 Collectables, SK809 Sticker Book, CD501 Square Card Base, CD601 White Card Stock, Kaiser Mist Turquoise KM127, Ink Pads – IP745 Sea Breeze, IP755 Silver
OTHER:Clear Gesso, Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun

For my first card, I have used the Clear Stamps,
and a watermark stamp pad to stamp images onto my card.
I have then used Clear embossing powder to make the images resist the Kaiser Mist I have used.

I have then used the same stamp, and multiple ink pads,
to stamp out and fussy cut the floral images out.
I have then layered these into the centre of my card.

I have then added some of the Collectables, Die-cut pieces and stickers to finish.
Very simple and yet very effective.

You can find the full instructions for this card HERE.

For my next mixed media card,
I have used the same Kaiser Mist in Turquoise,
mixed with some water to flow over my card base.

PAPERS: MORNING DEW Collection: PP1069 Paper Pad
KC PRODUCTS: CS354 Clear Stamp Set, CT963 Collectables, SK809 Sticker Book, CD501 Square Card Base, Kaiser Mist KM127 Turquoise, Ink Pads – IP757 Black, IP745 Sea Breeze, SB700 Silver Rhinestones, CD601 White Cardstock, Heat Gun.

I have then used the butterfly stamps from the Clear Stamp set,
and black ink, to stamp randomly over my card.

I have then used elements from the Collectables,
layered with some of the papers from the Paper Pad.

I have also stamped out some more butterflies, with Sea Breeze Ink,
to use on the centre of my card.
You can find the full instructions for this card HERE.

My next cards are free of mess and a bit more traditional.

PAPERS: MORNING DEW Collection: PP1069 Paper Pad
KC PRODUCTS:  CT963 Collectables, SK809 Sticker Book, CD501 Square Card Base

For this card, I have started by layering some of the gorgeous papers from the Paper Pad.
Oh those pebbles!

I have then used some floral stickers from the Sticker Book,
to add some pretty to my card.

I could not resist adding that gorgeous bird to the top corner.

You can find the full instructions for this card HERE.

For my last card,
I have started with some of the pretty papers from the Paper Pad.

PAPERS: MORNING DEW Collection: PP1069 Paper Pad.
KC PRODUCTS:  CT963 Collectables, SK809 Sticker Book, CD501 Square Card Base,
F632 Sage Paper Bloom

I have then layered some of the bracket die-cuts from the Paper Pad.

Some more layers of the papers,
and then I am ready to add some of the Collectables,
Stickers & a Paper Bloom

You can find the full instructions for this card HERE.

I hope that you like the mix of messy and traditional cards that I have created.
I really enjoyed working with this collection.

Morning Dew Mini Book with Terhi Koskinen

Hello! It’s Terhi here and I hope you are ready for some mini album inspiration. Today I’m here with a fresh new Mini Book made with Morning Dew collection.

Morning Dew is full of calming colors, beautiful patterns and it makes me think about mindfulness, yoga and other exercises aiming to balance. That’s why I started to think about what are the balancing things in my life. There are some, but most important of all are all creative processes. Scrapbooking included! What a great excuse to document scrapbooking!

I have couple of photos from my very first scrapbook workshops I have ever taught. Creating a Mini Book with those three photographs was fun throwback to five years ago and I’m very happy with the result.

MORNING DEW Collection: P2757 Serene, P2759 Rejuvinate, P2760 Calming, P2762 Tranquil, SK809 Sticker Book, CT963 Collectables, CS354 Clear Stamps.
Smooth Cardstock- White, Adhesive Pearls – Latte, Pigment Ink – White, Foam tape.
Other: Metal ring or similar.

There are eight pages in this book. If you want to create similar book by yourself, upload instructions HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today.
Terhi xx

You are special to me

Hello, Kaisercraft friends. It’s Donna here with my layout using the Morning Dew collection.

I love how tranquil and serene this collection makes you feel. As always, the floral patterns are beautiful and my absolute fave in the whole collection. I used one sheet and fussy cut my heart out and embellished my layout with all of them.

PAPERS:  MORNING DEW Collection: P2757 Serene, P2762 Tranquil, and P2764 Exhale

KC PRODUCTS: SK809 Sticker book | PP1069 Paper Pad | CT63 Collectables | CR209 Curios | FL650 Flourish Pack | EM405 Doily | T315 Double-Sided Tape | T303 Foam Tape | T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue

I started by cutting Tranquil into 3 parts, adhering to the top of Exhale. I curl the edges of the paper layers to add depth.

Using foam tapes and curling the tips of the flowers and leaves can add to more texture and depth to the whole layout.

Check out this slideshow for more close up details of the layout:

Happy crafting,

‘Peaceful’ by Lisa Amiet

It’s Lisa here today to share a layout with you. I have used the glorious Morning Dew collection released this month. I was inspired but the florals and the gorgeous greens.

PAPERS: WITH LOVE Collection: P2757 Serene, P2758 Breathe, P2760 Calming, P2762 Tranquil, P2763 Inhale, P2764 Exhale, P2765 Refresh
KC PRODUCTS: CT963 Collectables, SK809 Sticker Book, CS354 Clear Stamps, CS360 Tiny Dot Texture Stamp, Kaiser Mists KM127 Turquoise & KM126 Lime, IP743 Spearmint & IP752 Smoke Ink Pads

I have used Calming (reverse) as my base page. I have used the Clear Stamp Set and the Tiny Dot Texture stamp and Spearmint & Smoke Ink pads to stamp on my page. I then used my Lime & Turquoise Kaiser Mists to splatter my page.

I have fussy cut the florals from the patterned papers.

I have arranged the flowers around two opposite corners to frame my page.

I have then started to arrange my layers travelling diagonally down my page.

I have layered some of the collectables, more fussy cut elements,
and some stickers from the Sticker Book.

I have then layered up some more florals and sentiment stickers, with some added bling 😉

This collection works perfectly with the photo of the cute little church.

I hope you like what I have created. You can find the full instructions for this layout HERE.

You can find the Morning Dew Collection in stock at your local stockist or online at Kaisercraft.

Fussy cutting…. you either love it or hate it…… but I am here today to try and convince you its not a bad thing and it really can open up the creative process and allow you to revamp how you see paper……

KC PRODUCTS: IT446 Designer Template – Bloom, IP743 Ink Pad – Spearmint, CD301 Snow Cardstock, T303 Foam Tape, T315 Double Sided 12mm Tape.

So to start off draw yourself a circle on the white cardstock – this will help you when your inking you flowers for the background…

Now with your fussy cut flowers start to place around your photo to make a wreath – as you can see I have cut my photo to a circle but if you dont feel comfortable with that you can keep your photo as is and just work your flowers into a circle ….

Now its all about adding some details to your layout to finish it off…. you can download a PDF instruction sheet here to see what was used to do the is layout.

Hello everyone! I am thrilled to be able to share my latest layout which features papers and products from Kaisercraft’s Morning Dew Collection. It has many aqua/turquoise coloured papers and elements which is a colour that is a favourite of mine.

I created two art foam peony flowers to compliment the flowers from the collectables and also to add some dimension to my layout.

I made use of the preprinted designs of one of the collections papers and fussy cut out what I needed and used it as an embellishment around my photo. By using mounting foam to adhere elements, you can tuck things in as you go to build up your design which is what I did with this floral cluster.

To finish of my layout, I added some rhinestones in random spots just to add a little bit of bling!
