Flashback Friday – Paisley Days

Hello all! It’s Lisa here today to reminisce with you.
Today we are looking back on the Paisley Days collection.
I fell in love with the gorgeous florals and colours in
this collection, as did many of you.

So we would like to share with you a couple of our favourite projects,
created by our awesome Kasiercraft fans,
and shared in our Facebook Group Kaisercraft Corner.

Paisley Days Collection: P2737 Good Vibes, P2734 Soul, P2731 Gypsy, P1066 Paper Pad, CT959 Collectables, Pearls SB716 Blush & SB793 Black, Rhinestones SB712 Deep Yellow.

This gorgeous layout was created by Karen Moss.
I love how she has used the papers to create multiple frames and the gorgeous clusters of flowers.
Here is a little about what inspired Karen to create this layout.

“I loved the framing effect of the Good Vibes paper, so I removed the centre of the 12 x 12 piece,
and added the small frame from the paper pad.
The little Polaroid frames were perfect to hold my photo and to embellish.
It is such a bright and happy range that I chose a bright and happy photo of my husband and I, our daughter and her partner and our two dogs to compliment it.
The Collectables made it so easy to add the finishing touches.”

Thank you so much Karen for sharing your gorgeous layout!

The next layout that caught my eye was one from Gwen Wruck.
Gwen has created a layout dedicated to that special place in all of our hearts….. her scrap room!!

Paisley Days Collection: P2732 Smiles, P2736 Groovy, SK806 Sticker Book,
CT959 Collectables, CR206 Curios.

I love all that clean white space with gorgeous colours and florals.
I also like how Gwen has used the papers from the collection to back the cut file,
that she has used for her title.
Here is a little about what inspired Gwen.

“I have been meaning to document my scrap space for years now.
As soon I saw this pretty collection I knew it would be the perfect match for my photos.
I just love all of the florals and those pastel colours.”

Thank you so much for sharing your layout Gwen, we love it!

So don’t forget if you would like to see your layout featured here on the Kaisercraft Blog,
all you need to do is keep creating and share your projects in our Facebook Group.
You can also find lots of challenges, chances to win prizes,
and best of all you will find inspiration and support from some wonderful scrapbookers!

Until next time!

Quick and Easy Paisley Days Cards

Kaisercraft Products: PAISLEY DAYS Collection: PP1066 Paper Pad, CT959 collectables. Other: Pearls, Rhinestones.

I used the circle elements layered on top of the patterned paper background. The butterfly from the Collectibles pack was layered with foam tape on top of the butterfly circle
A colour blocked card background with a scallop strip and focal point image from the paper pad completes this quick and easy card. Buttons and diamante are used to dress up the card.
I love this striped background with the simple layered flower element with the sentiment on top.
And I couldn’t resist making this smaller style card with these fun elements from the collectibles pack and a few flowers cut out from the patterned paper.

These cards are so easy to make, all you need is a few folded cards and the paper pad. Cut patterned paper to add to the front of the cards and then dress them up with Collectibles and embellishments.

Some Happy Fun with Paisley Days

Today we are sharing some ideas of how to share ‘Joy’ and ‘Fun’ into a layout.

Flowers + mixed media + patterned papers  + right photo = Paisley Days!

Read on and enjoy some happy fun!

PAPERS: Paisley Days Collection – P2737 Good Vibes, P2731 Gypsy, P2738 Daisy Chain

KC PRODUCTS: CT959 Paisley Days Collectables, F662 Paper Blooms Coral,

F646 Mini Paper Blooms Buttercream, T321 Craft Glue, T303 Foam Tape

OTHER: Hemp.

I was inspired by the sentiment that featured JOY.

I found a photo that shows a little girl finding enjoyment in such a simple thing. Her dress

complimented the collection, and so it became my jumping off point for my embellishments.

Draw inspiration from photos to select papers and embellishments. Add a variety of blooms to add interest and dimension.

You can download full instructions for this layout here.

Hello. It’s Lisa here sharing my layout for Paisley Days – Hello.
I love the gorgeous yellow floral elements and all the beautiful patterned papers.
This Collection deserved a fun, silly layout, so this is what I came up with.

PAPERS: PAISLEY DAYS  Collection: P2730 Positivity, P2732 Smiles, P2733 Boho, P2734 Soul, P2735 Retro, P2736 Groovy
KC PRODUCTS: SK806 Sticker Book, Kaiser Mist – KM125 Candy, Kaiser Colour Acrylic Paints – KC005 Yellow, KC043 Seabreeze, KC044 Spearmint, and Teal,
Ink Pad – IP747 Black, SB777 Rhinestones Black.

I have started with Positivity (reverse) as my base with lots of splattering of some Kaiser Mist and Acrylic paints.

I have built up my layers using the gorgeous patterned papers.
Add in a silly photo of me and some of the fussy cut floral tucked into my layers.

I have built a corner cluster so that my page flows diagonally and have again used layers to achieve this look.

I hope you like what I have created. I am loving this collection!

This is a beautiful and fun collection full of my favorites: florals and fancy patterns!

This is one of my fave collections to date, it has lots of floral die cuts and stickers! Perfect for the floral-addict like me.

The Posy Circle die framed my photo and it added a pretty interesting look.

The Sticker Book is also my new favourite, giving me lots of spare floral stickers so I can layer and cluster to my heart’s content. I used foam tape to mount the stickers and die cuts for a bit of dimension.

Here is a slide show of step-by-step photos of how I made this layout.

Paisley Days Double Layout with Terhi

Hello everyone!
Terhi Koskinen here with my new favourite collection from Kaisercrafts – Paisley Days. I decided not only make one but two layouts and made them work as one or used as separately.
Let me show you.

PAPERS: PAISLEY DAYS Collection: P2730 Positivity, P2732 Smiles, P2734 Soul, P2738 Daisy Chain and CT959 collectables.
CD650 Smooth Cardstock White.
KC PRODUCTS: Kaiser Mists KM121 White, KM122 Yellow, KM127 Turquoise.
Pearls SB716 Blush, SB784 Ice Green and SB713 Pearl.

If you look this as it is, one layout, you can see there is a lot going on. Lots of colours, many fussy cut flowers, and even multiple photographs. But it all goes together very well.
Then again, if you focus only to one page, you can see there are all required elements for a perfect scrapbook layout too: title, pretty papers and embellishments, and most importantly the photographs.

While I started creating this page, I felt the double layout size is so very large – too large. So my idea here is that you can build a double layout by creating a page by page!

I managed to do this double layout at once. But to make the challenge of too large area much easier for upcoming moments, I invented this wonderful method that you can really build the pages one by one.
Just keep the products similar, and design following another and you’ll do great!

Hope this inspires you!

Technique Tuesday: For the Love of Fussy Cutting

Hello lovely friends!
It’s Terhi Koskinen here today with you and I have something very special to inspire you. It is a scrapbook layout just as you might have guessed, and in addition to the glorious PAISLEY DAYS collection it includes my all time favourite technique: Fussy cutting.
Before you run away thinking fussy cutting is old, boring and definitely something you will not waste your time to, please let me have a moment to talk about it!
Yes, I agree, fussy cutting is old technique, but definitely underrated. By playing with scissors you can turn your lovely projects to amazing projects. And it’s actually very simple: Once you have found your favourite pair of scissors and you keep them sharp and clean, fussy cutting is easy and quick.
Kaisercraft papers are light weight, so they are also very easy to start learning how to fussy cut.
Here’s what I did, all blooms and leaves fussy cut.

KAISERCRAFT PAPERS: PAISLEY DAYS Collection: P2730 Positivity, P2732 Smiles, P2734 Soul, P2738 Daisy Chain and CT959 collectables.
CD650 Smooth Cardstock White.
KAISERCRAFT PRODUCTS: Pearls SB716 Blush, SB784 Ice Green and SB713 Pearl.

If you feel fussy cutting isn’t your thing, or you want learn how to start, here’s my Tips & Tricks TOP4:

– It’s all about scissors! Keep them clean, dust-free and sharp. Choose the pair of scissor which fits to you hand easily and are not too big, also not too small.

– Start with big(-ish) images. It can be tempting to cut out a large flourish with delicate design, but if you’re a first timer, start with some larger blooms. As soon as your skills improve you can step to smaller and smaller images. In the end, you’ll handle the delicate flourishes too!

– Choose your paper. Some papers and heavier than others. The heavier the paper, the harder it is to cut. Again start with easy, light weight, papers and learn your way up to cardstock!

– Last: Don’t be too harsh to yourself! Who cares if your flower miss one petal, more important is that you had fun cutting and creating.

All blooms and flowers you can see here in this layout are cut out by hand from Paisley Days paper P2730 “Positivity”. The flowers and leaves are big enough to cut out easily, and all major “oopses” I managed to do while cutting, are now covered with another bloom or other embellishments. That’s what I love about layering, you can always cover it up!

To add more interest to the layout, I added quite thick thread there going from one spot to another. Some of the fussy cut elements are on top of it, some below. This makes the layout live much more, and it’s much more interesting to watch.

That’s all I have today. Hope you feel inspired and are ready to start the cutting fun! Let me know how your fussy cutting goes, and tag me to your creations in Instagram: @terhi_koskinen.
Thank you for stopping by today! We will see you again. Sooner than you think!
Terhi xx

Ps. Two things before I go!
First: Be aware that as soon as you fall in love with fussy cutting, you’ll end up cutting watching movies, sun bathing, during car drives and other travels…
Second: Never run with scissors.

Paisley Days Clear Stamp Card Tutorial

Hi Guys, Kasia here with some fun cards created with the Paisley Days clear stamp and the 6.5″ Paisley Days paper pad.

This stamp was super fun to play with and I love the bold lines in these modern florals. I played on the boldness of the stamp and on the pops of black in the Paisley Days collection to create these cards.

You can find the CS351 Paisley Days clear stamp at your local store or online HERE.

Products Used:
PAISLEY DAYS Collection: PP1066 Paper Pad, CS351 Clear Stamp.

CD501 White Card Pack, CD601 White Cardstock, SB793 Black Pearls, IP757 Permanent Black Ink, KM121 White KAISERmist.

This fun, mostly monochromatic, card can be created in not just black and white, but you could also stamp the images in your favourite colour and use a coordinating patterned paper or cardstock to matt the stamped area.

Products Used:
PAISLEY DAYS Collection: PP1066 Paper Pad, CS351 Clear Stamp.

CD501 White Card Pack, CD601 White Cardstock, SB793 Black Pearls, IP757 Permanent Black Ink, IP752 Smoke Ink.

I really loved the floral clusters in this stamp as they made a great grounding place for either handmade flowers or paper flowers of your choice.

Products Used:
PAISLEY DAYS Collection: PP1066 Paper Pad, CT959 Collectables, CS351 Clear Stamp.

CD501 White Card Pack, CD601 White Cardstock, SB793 Black Pearls, IP757 Permanent Black Ink.

I couldn’t resist stamping a whole bunch of these super fun bold flowers and fussy cutting them. The shape was really easy to cut out so the whole card was really quite quick to put together.

Products Used:
PAISLEY DAYS Collection: PP1066 Paper Pad, CT959 Collectables, CS351 Clear Stamp.

CD501 White Card Pack, CD601 White Cardstock, SB791 Pewter Pearls, IP757 Permanent Black Ink, IP752 Smoke Ink.

I love when a stamp set has a selection of little images that can be stamped multiple times to create a wreath.

A quick tip to create a nice balanced wreath is to use a stamping tool. Cut your paper into a square shape, position your stamp on your stamping tool lid and rotate the paper after stamping the image. Keep going around until you have stamped 4 times and then move your image and repeat the process.

You can download the instructions to create these cards HERE.

See you next time & happy crafting.
xx Kasia

Technique Tuesday – Adding Dimension with Paisley Days

Hello all! It’s Lisa here today to share a technique with you.
I love to use patterns in the papers to create depth and dimension to a layout.
I have created this layout using the technique.

PAPERS: PAISLEY DAYS  Collection: P2732 Smiles, P2734 Soul, P2736 Groovy
KC PRODUCTS: CT959 Collectables, SK806 Sticker Book, DD636 Posy Circle Decorative Die, DD3331 Flower Cluster Decorative Die, IP755 Ink Pad Licorice.

This is quite a simple way of using the repeated pattern in a paper to create some dimension.
The gorgeous parquetry wood pattern of the Smiles paper from this month’s new Paisley Days collection is perfect for this technique.

I started by fussy cutting a diagonal shape from the wood paper to adhere to my base page. I have then fussy cut additional pieces from the wood pattern to use to add dimension.

I have inked the edges of my pieces to add even more depth to them. I have then matched up the pattern and used foam tape to raise them.

They also help to add a raised base for where my photo will sit. I am also able to use it to tuck in floral pieces to add to my layers.

Raising my photo base and pieces of wood pattern not only adds dimension but it gives you space to be able to add more layers with your embellishments.

I have used the Posy Circle & Floral Cluster Decorative Dies to cut die cuts from the patterned papers. I have added these, along with some fussy cut floral clusters raised with foam tape following the diagonal flow of my layout.

As you can see it works quite well. I am really happy with how it turned out.
You can find the full instructions for this layout HERE.

You can find the Paisley Days collection in stock now at your local stockist or online at
