Flashback Friday – Paradise Found

Being such a cold winters day (or should I say “week”), today I have decided to look back to one of our warmer months and FLASHBACK to PARADISE FOUND, a bright tropical collection, which we released back in February – the end of ‘our’ Summer.

Looking back through our Kaisercraft Corner posts (thank you to everyone who regularly shares here), a bible journalling post caught my eye this week. Thank you to Debbie Minnaair, from South Africa for joining us and inspiring us all with this beautiful post.

I love using Kaisercraft collections in my Bible.
The collectables and sticker sheets are just perfect to illustrate the verses in Scripture. I am a wife, mother and a Daughter of the King. I live in sunny South Africa and do Scrapbooking, Art Journaling, card making, mixed media and Bible Journaling

I design Bible Journaling kits for a local Scrapbook shop and decided to use the Paradise Found collection as part of my February 2019 kit. February marks the end of summer here in the Southern Hemisphere so the range was ideal.
I used:- Collectables from the range, Chase the Sun – P2698, Faber Castell gelatos
Stencils from my stash, Cadence glitter pen, Texture paste

Thank you Debbie for sharing your projects and bible journalling in our Kaisercraft Corner.
Remember to keep sharing your work here and you too could be featured one Friday when we flashback to an older collection.

”Paradise Found” Featuring Clear Stamps

Good morning.

Today we are showcasing the versatility of the humble clear stamp…..

Is this one of those scrap items that you find you are neglecting?

Well we hope we can inspire you and get you playing with your clear stamps.

”Relax” Layout By Rikki G

Stamps add a quick mixed media element to your pages don’t be afraid to layer them and overlap different colours.

*** Tip: Don’t re -ink each time you stamp the image  – this will give you shades of the same ink allowing the layering to show through.

To create this layout I used Paradise Found collection revealed earlier this month.

It’s such a wonderful Collection with the most beautiful colours, relaxing phrases and gorgeous Decorative Dies.

You could create million different things with these dies, but I wanted to focus on one.

That’s why I repeated the Monstera Leaf Decorative Die quite many times on this layout.

The Monstera Leaf shape is also repeated on the background with a template and ink.

To show you exactly how this layout was made, I recorded a process video.

Hope you’re inspired! Enjoy creating and watching!

Paradise Found – Foliage Feature

If you are after tropical foliage then the PARADISE FOUND collection is definitely for you.

Just take this page in the collection for example.  P2699 BALMY NIGHTS.

As you can see, this is page features two rows of gorgeous blues/teal coloured lush tropical foliage that you can use as a background
as Melissa Kennedy as done below.  Nothing much else really needed as they matched her photographs perfectly.
Add three small photos across the middle and there you have it.
We all want to get our photos scrapped and into albums as soon as possible and with pages like this – it makes the job a lot faster.
She has also fussy cut a few flowers and additional leaves from other papers and layered using foam tape towards the bottom.

Lisa Amiet below has created a completely different look but still featuring the foliage from the same page.
She just felt the leaves were screaming to be cut out.

Hello, It’s Lisa here to share a layout with you that I created,

using the oh so tropical Paradise Found Collection.
I have created a layout where I wanted all the lush tropical foliage to be the feature of my layout.
So out come the scissors.”

PAPERS: PARADISE FOUND Collection: P2694 Tropic Vibes, P2695 Palm Trees, P2697 Ocean Air, P2698 Chase the Sun, P2699 Balmy Nights, P2701 White Sands
KC PRODUCTS: SK802 Sticker Book, CR202 Curios, IP757 Ink Pad Black.

I have fussy cut the foliage clusters from Balmy Nights and the floral cluster from White Sands.
I have then layered the floral cluster, backed with cardboard for dimension, onto the foliage clusters.

Building up my layers of the patterned papers and some of the stickers from the new Sticker Books.

I have added some photos of myself on the beach in Hawaii.

More of the gorgeous floral elements.

To finish I have added a sentiment to the bottom of my layout.

I hope that you like what I have created.
