Peppermint Reindeer Kisses

KC-Peppermint-Kisses-2

Hi Everyone!

Happy Sunday!

It’s Trudi with you today sharing some more Peppermint Kisses inspiration.  I just love the candy stripes, pretty mint green and pink and sweet reindeer elements . Super fun and festive!

I chose to create a snow globe design for my page:KC-Peppermint-Kisses-Layout

Kaisercraft Products: Peppermint Kisses Papers- P2811 Fun & Festive, P2812 Bright Baubles, P2816 Minty, P2817 Santa & Co, P2818 Ho Ho Ho, P2819 Under the Tree; Peppermint Kisses – CT969 Collectables, PP1075 Paper Pad

KC-Peppermint-Kisses3

To create the background you will require 2 sheets of the Minty paper. Remove manufacturing strips.  Trim one 10″ x 10″ – attach this darker side up to the other sheet

To Create the snow globe:

Cut out a circle element from the plain area of Under the Tree

** I used a smaller bread and butter plate**

Attach this to the centre of the page.

Cut a circle element (the same size) from the striped side of Santa & Co.  Trace around the inside with a smaller sized plate to create a frame.  Trim around the inside edge.  Attach over the top of the previously applied circle with foam tape/dots.

Trim the red and white spot strip from the Ho Ho Ho paper.  Attach this to the bottom of the circle to create the base of the snow globe.

Matte the photo to coordinating paper from the Paper Pad. Position and attach

Decorate the bottom of the snow globe with fussy cut Poinsettia’s from Fun & Festive and Ho Ho Ho.  Layer the floral elements attaching with foam tape/dots to add a little dimension.

Fussy cut baubles from Bright Baubles – attach one coming down from the top of the page:

The other peeking out from below the poinsettia arrangement:

Fussy cut the Christmas Tree and Deer elements from Ho Ho Ho paper.  Tuck in Christmas tree along right hand photo edge and the deer over the top.

Under the Tree – with Peppermint Kisses

Hi Everyone,
Chrissy here today sharing my second project for September, featuring the lovely Peppermint Kisses Kaisercraft collection. I love the playful imagery in this collection so decided to use a photo of my daughter when she was younger, she always had to sit under the tree and have her photo taken with her toys.

PAPERS, PEPPERMINT KISSES: P2811 Fun & Festive|P2813 Wrapped Up|P2816 Minty|P2817 Santa & Co|P2818 Ho Ho Ho|P2819 Under the Tree|PP1075 Paper Pad|CT969 Collectables

KAISERCRAFT PRODUCTS: KM124 Red Kaisermist|KM132 Gold Kaisermist|IP738 Lipstick Ink Pad|SB795 Red Pearls|CD301 Snow Kaisercard

OTHER: Red DMC thread

I created my base using snow Kaisercard, Minty, Ho Ho Ho & Under the Tree papers. I have also added some splashes of red & gold Kaisermist.

Of course I had to do some stitching, so before matting them all together I added this along the lengths of some of the strips with bright red thread.

Now for my favourite part – fussy cutting all the cute embellishments to decorate my layout with. I fussy cut all the pink & red poinsettias from the Fun & Festive, Ho Ho Ho and Santa & Co papers and fussy cut the very cute Nut Crackers and Reindeer.

I then layered up the poinsettias to give some dimension.

After adding my photo to the centre of my layout I then start to arrange all the fussy cut elements around it.

I like to add foam pads to some of the elements to give that little extra height and dimension.

To finish off I have added a title using one of the sayings from the papers and added some red pearls to the centres of the poinsettias .

This Christmas collection is just the cutest and I hope I have inspired you to use it.

Technique Tuesday – Clusters and Layers

Hello, Donna here with this week’s Technique Tuesday post. Today, I am showing you how to create a scrapbook layout with layers and clusters without adding too much bulk.

PDF instructions can be downloaded HERE or by clicking the main image above.

KAISERCRAFT PRODUCT USED: PEPPERMINT KISSES Collection: P2817  Santa & Co., P2819 Under The Tree, SK815 Sticker book, PP1075 Paper Pad, CT969 Collectables, CR215 Curios, FL656 Flourish Pack, KM132 Gold Shimmer, IT495 Scattered Stars, EM405 Doily, T315 Double-Sided Tape, T303 Foam Tape, T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue
OTHER: Molding Paste, Pink Embroidery Thread

Use SANTA & Co. (Reverse) as the background for this layout. Cut UNDER THE TREE, trimming the bottom and left side part and adhere to the background as seen in the image (set aside the leftover for later). Use Scattered Starts template and molding paste to add texture. Slightly fold the edges of UNDER THE TREE

Get another piece of SANTA & Co. paper and fussy cut the patterns. Do the same with the patterns from UNDER THE TREE paper left over from the previous one.

Adhere the fussy cut trees and some Collectables to the top left part. Then add a white doily and pink embroidery thread. Place the photo using foam tape for a bit of dimension. Start embellishing with stickers and border pieces from the paper pad.

Continue embellishing the layout up to the bottom part until you’re satisfied with the layers and clusters. For the final touch, add some splatter of gold using the Gold Shimmer Kaiser Mist. Then the layout is done!

And here is the finished layout

Hello all, Annette here today sharing with you a double layout project created with the playful Christmas range “Peppermint Kisses”. I felt it was ideal for my granddaughter on Christmas morning sharing her joy after opening her gifts from under the tree.

After layering my chosen papers and photos the fussy cutting began, then I gathered all the selected pieces from the collectables package and the sticker book.

Arranging these embellishments I them adhered to the pages using wet glue and foam tape to add dimension. A couple of the pretty curios and chosen quote finished off my project. I hope you have been inspired to play with these fun pages to create your own special Christmas Layouts.

Mini Album – Merry Christmas

Hello Kaisercraft friends!

This has to be one of the cutest of animated Christmas ranges – the reindeer, the nutcrackers, the trees and pressies – and I thought a mini album would be prefect!

Products used: Paper: P2811 ‘Fun & Festive’, P2813 ‘Wrapped up’, P2814 ‘Holly Jolly’, P2815 ‘Combi Christmas’, P2816 ‘Minty’, P2819 ‘Under the Tree’, SK815 Sticker Book, PP1075 6″ x6″ paper pad, CT969 Collectables, FL656 Flourishes, weaved cardstock “Thyme”, weaved cardstock “Crimson”

The mini album is made with 6 chipboard pages measure 6″x 6″. This was perfect as I was able to cover each pages using paper from the 6″x 6″ paper pad, and all I had to do was corner punch the edges. I created a shaker box for the front cover with the reindeer, presents stickers and collectables, and used the Merry Christmas from the Sticker book. The frame is decorated with flourishes and poinsettias from the collectables.

Each page has been decorated using collectables, die cuts from the 6″x 6″ paper pad and the sticker book.

I have created a waterfall on one the pages and decorated the feature page with collectables and stickers. Each inside page has been covered with papers, and some words from the sticker book. I have closed the waterfall using magnets as a closure.

Here is another picture of some of the pages. The left page is covered with paper, then adding smaller 5″x 5″ paper to that to form the matt for a photo. The flower cluster is from the sticker book, adhered with foam so a photo can fit underneath. The wording is from the sticker book. The right page is an envelope feature that opens into a trifold booklet for adding extra photos. The “Under the Tree” is a tab from the sticker book, as are the words.

There are some lovely quotes in this collection, and I have used one of them here – I love this quote!

Peppermint Kisses with a twist

Welcome to today’s blog post with me Jowilna. Today I am sharing a single page layout using the stunning Peppermint Kisses range with a fun and easy inked technique. Take a look how I created this fun effect.

A while ago I wanted to achieve a lines look using a stencil. Well said stencil does not exist in my stash so I set about achieving my own dimensional effect with paper strips.

Kaisercraft Products used: P2817 Santa & Co, P2811 Fun & Festive, CT969 Collectables, CR215 Curios, IP748 Forest Ink Pad – Water Based, IP738 Lipstick, IP745 Spearmint, and Fern.
Other: White cardstock, rhinestones, pearls, sewing machine.

Look how fun the background looks with this easy technique.
Fun and colorful like the gorgeous elements from this paper range.
Step 1 – Use white smooth cardstock and cut some strips about 5mm wide {1/4″}, then trim them shorter into different lengths.
Step 2 – Adhere the strips randomly to a white cardstock background. Make sure that the effect is random and staggered.
Step 3 – Once you are happy with your strips, use shades of red and pink inks and blend over the top half of your strips. Blend randomly and only in a selected area.
Step 4 – Next blend the lower half of your strips in shades of green. Splatter the ink with water and use a roller towel to roll over the water drops to dry them. The water will lift the ink and create a fun effect.
Step 5 – Now you are ready to dress up your layout with cut out elements, collectibles and embellishments.
These Curious are perfect to complete the look.
Use foam tape to raise some of the elements for dimension and layering.
Until next time – I hope you are inspired by this easy technique mimicking a stenciled effect with dimension.

Peppermint Kisses – Advent Box

Hi Everyone,

Chrissy here today with a Peppermint Kisses project – this collection is so pretty and playful so I decided to use it on the brand new Christmas Advent box.

Kaisercraft Products:  Peppermint Kisses Collection|P2811 Fun & Festive|P2813 Wrapped Up|P2814 Holy Jolly|P2816 Minty|P2817 Santa & Co|P2818 Ho Ho Ho|PP1075 6.5 x 6.5 Paper Pad|CT969 Collectables|

Other Kaisercraft Products: SB2510 Christmas Advent Box|SB795 Red Pearls|SB794 Snow Pearls|AS261 Number Stickers White|KC001 Kaisercolour Paint White.

When ever I make up a Beyond the Page project, especially a storage item with lots of parts, I like to do a dry run of putting it together first, as I don’t want to be fussing about wondering where all the parts go once it has been painted & papered.

I would usually paint any edges and paper any parts before putting it all back together. But this time (as I wanted the paper to cover the joins I decided to put the main parts back together again minus the little dividers and paint it like that. I used white paint so it did need a few coats.

I then painted the little dividers (above) but left the little bits that slot into the Advent unpainted, if you paint these they will be to tight to slot into the holes.

I chose to use double sided tape to assemble the little drawers, then to cover each drawer I cut a strip of paper the same height as the drawer and long enough to wrap around three sides plus a few millimetres etc at each side of the front.

To cut the finger hole into the square piece of paper for the front of the drawers, I used the drawer as a template and marked the shape of the finger hole before cutting it out

Once all the little drawers were covered with my chosen papers I slotted them into place and once I was happy with their position I added the numbers.

I covered the top and sides of the Advent with the holy jolly paper and covered the back of the advent aperture with the spotty paper from the paper pad and fussy cut all the fun images from the Santa & Co & Fun & Festive papers, then arranged them in the centre of the advent, I used lots of foam pads to give height and dimension.

To finish off I added pearls to the little drawers and distressed the edges of them, I wanted to give them a kinda snowy effect.

I hope I have inspired you to create a Christmas Advent Calendar – this item would look fabulous decorated with any of Kaisercraft’s Christmas collections.

Technique Tuesday – Shaker Tags

Hello and welcome back to the blog, it is Hetty with you today sharing my very first Technique Tuesday blog post.

Today I would like to share with you some shaker tags using the cute Peppermint Kisses collection.

Products Used:
Papers: Peppermint Kisses Collection: PP1075 Paper Pad|CT969 Collectables|
KC Products: Permanent Black Kaiser Ink|Kaiser Christmas Sentiment Stamps|Kaiser pocket pages or album inserts|Kaiser Die Cut Machine|Kaiser White Cardstock|
Other: Fuse Tool|Punch Tool|Tag Dies|Eyelets|Glitter|Thread|Washi Tape|

Start by die cutting to large tags from your white cardstock.

Next cut large tag from chosen printed paper from the paper pad and lay the smaller tag in the middle of the big one as seen in photo below.

You should now have something like this:

Glue the two white tags back to back (I like to use two to for sturdiness) add the ‘from – to’ sentiment to the back of the white tag.

Glue the printed front onto the front of the white tag and you now should have something like this:

Next grab your pocket page or album insert and add your large tag on the top. Add some washi tape to hold it in place.

Run your fuse tool along the sides and the bottom of the tag but not the top sides just yet as you need to insert your tag first.

Trim closely to the seam but leave a big gap at the top. You should now have something looking like this:

Insert your tag and add other embellishments like glitter and whatever else you would like to add to your shaker tag.

Now add the die back on top and line it up so you can finish the top edges.

Trim off excess plastic. Punch a whole through the top, add an eyelet and some ribbon or thread. Embellish the outside with your favourite pieces from the collectables range.

That is it, you are done. I hope you liked this tutorial. These tags are so fun to make and the best part is they are reusable. Write on the back with a permanent marker and it wipes off again easily with some methylated spirits or something similar.

I made a special display box so I could store my cards, gift cards and tags. Such a cute range, perfect for kids and kids at heart.

That is it for me today – Happy Crafting!

Until next time…..

Hugs

Hetty

Shaker Fun at Christmas

Hello everyone! I hope that you having a great week. Today I am sharing two projects which have been inspired by one paper design. I was really drawn to the cottages/houses on the COMBI CHRISTMAS reverse paper which is part of the Peppermint Collection this month. I fussy cut some out and used them to create a card plus two shaker ornaments.

Kaisercraft Products: Peppermint Kisses Collection – P2815 Combi Christmas |P2816 Minty |P2817 Santa and Co |CD302 Coal Cardstock |GC104 Crystal Glitter Cardstock

|CT969 Peppermint Kisses Collectables| CD503 Card Pack Square Black

Other: ¾” punch |snow globe template or die.

I created a snow globe, and used the cottages as part of the scene. I kept the design fairy simple, so that if someone wanted to make these in bulk, it would be manageable.

Click here to download full instructions for this project.

Kaisercraft Products: Peppermint Kisses Collection – P2814 Holly Jolly |P2816 Minty |P2817 Santa and Co |P2815 Combi Christmas |P2819 Under the Tree |CD601 White Cardstock

CT969 Peppermint Kisses Collectables |CS366 Peppermint Kisses Clear Stamp |Decorative Dies: DD507 Nesting Circles, DD553 Nesting Stitches Circles |SB712 Yellow Deep Rhinestones

Other: Metallic Cord |Ribbon |Fun Foam |Acetate |Wave Die |Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

My second use of the cottages was using them to create shaker ornaments. I created my ornaments by combining Kaisercraft nested circle dies to create a large round shape in order to create a Christmas scene. I selected trees from the collectables and used white cardstock to create a snowy hillside.

I also stamped a sentiment on the back, so these could also be used a gift tag at Christmas time.

To make these shaker ornaments, watch the tutorial below.

Visit your local stockist or go online to the Kaisercraft store if you feel inspired by this collection or by these projects.

Have a great week!
