Shells by Hetty Hall

Welcome back Kaisercraft Fans, hope you enjoy today’s blog post. Unchartered Waters is the perfect collection for all your beach or boating photos.

PRODUCTS USED:
PAPERS: P2847 Oceanic | P2853 Sea Shore | P2855 Shallows |
SK819 Sticker Book | CT973 Collectables | FL660 Flourish Pack |

I started the layout by tearing some of the ‘Oceanic’ paper to match my photo. I then adhered this to my background paper and started building the rest of my layout by cutting up some of the sentiments from the ‘Shallows’ paper and using the reverse site to layer behind my photo. I also cut out some of the rope design from the ‘Sea Shore’ paper and also layered this behind my photo. I then added lots of matching embellishments using a combination of stickers, collectables and flourishes to build up my design. Absolutely love those bubble images and they come both in the sticker book as well as the collectables set so plenty to go around.

You will be able to find fully instructions for this layout here.

That is it for me today, happy crafting.

Until next time…

Hugs

Hetty

Hello!! It’s Lisa here today with some peachy inspiration for you. The Unchartered Waters collection is perfect for photos of your beachy days. Chock full of nautical elements.

I have started my page with the Streak paper as my base.
I have then layered torn strips pf the patterned papers onto my base.

I have then used the Bubbles Template and modelling paste to randomly stencil over my page.
I have then splattered some Navy Kaiser Mist.

Distressing some strips from the Sticker Book and hessian to layer over my page.
Add in some collectables.

Next I have added my photo and some more of the collectables,
layered with stickers and a wood flourish.

In my layers I have added a Curio and word stickers.

To finish I have used a quote from the cut off strip,
matted and adhered to the bottom of the page.

I had a lot of fun with this collection, I love the colours and elements.
I hope that you like what I have created.

Rest and Relax – Card

Hello lovely Kaisercraft fans

I am on the blog today with a card I have created with Uncharted Waters entitled “Rest and Relax” – perfect title for the beach!

Kaisercraft: PP1079 6″x6″ paper pad, SK819 Sticker Book, SB718 Bliss Pearls and CT973 Collectables

Kaisercraft Product: Square card pack; foam tape

I have used the papers from the paper pad for the base of my card, distressing then first and making one slight smaller and then adhering to the base of the card. I have made a port hole from the wood grain paper in the same paper pad.

I have used the paper that resembles water as the base for the porthole. Using acetate under the smaller ring, and adding the fish from the sticker book and some sequin, I closed of the porthole with foam tape to make a shaker box.

Once this was placed in the middle of the card, I then used the Bliss pearls as “the nuts and bolts” for the porthole.

The shells and the anchor are a mix of the collectables and the sticker books which have been added with foam tape for dimension.

I have finished off the card with some muslin cloth and some art stones for “sea” effect

Explore – Unchartered Waters

Hi and welcome back to the blog.

Jo here with you today to share a layout with the new Uncharted Waters papers. This collection is perfect for all your seaside photos, boating or even just to create a masculine inspired page.

KAISERCRAFT PRODUCTS:  P2853 | P2854 | SK819 Sticker book | CT973  Collectables | FL660 Flourish Pack | DD494 Flora Branches | DD815 Sketched Circle

I chose to scrapbook this photo of my hubby and me while we were away down south in the beautiful Denmark area of Western Australia.  Oh the coast line is just stunning!

So many wonderful collectables to choose from in the pack and I started by clustering them all together to make a big focal point before adding my photo.

Here is a closer look at that cluster.

I love to start my layouts by making a clusters of embellishments and then working my photo in around them.  I have to say the collectables are always my favourite part of any collection.

Here is another close up.  I have added some die cuts from the Flora Branches die for a bit of texture and also the Sketched Circles die just to frame my photo a little too.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

If you would like to re-create this layout you can find the downloadable instructions here

Until next time

Technique Tuesday – Fussy Cutting

Hi Everyone, Chrissy here with another Technique Tuesday. Today I will be sharing with you the art of “Fussy Cutting” – also what fussy cutting means, what you can fussy cut and my preferred tools to use to fussy cut with.

Kaisercraft products used: Uncharted Waters Collection P2849 Hook x 2|P2850 Streak|P2851 Tide Pool|P2853 Sea Shore x 2|P2854 Pelagic|CT973 Collectables|CD313 Caramel Kaisercard|

When I first started Scrapbooking I hadn’t even heard of the term “fussy cutting” however I soon discovered I loved the idea of cutting out beautiful flowers and images from the gorgeous papers and it was a friend who then said to me – “you love your fussy cutting don’t you” and that is how I found out what it meant and my projects over the years have featured more & more fussy cutting. So Fussy Cutting is: Cutting out specific images from your paper.

Here are a few images cut from the gorgeous Uncharted Waters papers.

I think the term “Fussy Cutting” originated from cutting material, this is what I found on Google:
“A fussy cut is a piece of fabric that’s been cut to target a specific area of a print, rather than cutting the yardage into random pieces”.

I am really drawn to beautiful floral papers, I love fussy cutting all the flowers then arranging them into clusters on my layouts – however, you don’t need pretty floral papers to be able to fussy cut, even with this beautiful “Uncharted Waters” collection there are many, many things to fussy cut. The shells and other sea themed images.

………even the ropes, (which then look 3D) anchors and shells from the “Sea Shore” paper. The corner netting image from the Hook paper which I have cut out twice, the second one slightly smaller and then layered it up on top of the first one to give some height and dimension (see image below)

….and for some extreme fussy cutting, how about this netting (below) from the “Streak” paper which I have then added to the bottom of my layout.

so yes, you can fussy cut anything!!! why not give it a go!!

There is not a set tool or scissors that you Should use to fussy cut, you can use what ever you feel comfortable using, I found very early on into my fussy cutting that I loved using one specific pair of small curved nail scissors which I still use today. (the ones on the right in below image) I do have about three other slightly different pairs of small scissors but these are just in case I loose my favourite pair as they have now been discontinued

Once all the fussy cutting has been done you can put your layout together. Another reason I love fussy cutting is that I find it very relaxing – and gives your projects that little extra lovely touch.

……..and you can use foam pads to give some height and dimension to your fussy cut elements

Thank you for popping by, I hope I have inspired you to do some fussy cutting on your projects, I look forward to seeing them in Kaiser Corner. https://www.facebook.com/groups/kaisercraftcorner/

You can find all these beautiful Uncharted Waters products over on the Kaisercraft website https://www.kaisercraft.com.au/

Happy crafting & fussy cutting!!!

Hello, Kaisercraft friends. Donna here with my take on the Unchartered Waters collection.

Download the PDF instruction HERE or click the main image above.

PRODUCTS USED:PAPERS: UNCHARTERED WATERS Collection: P2854 Pelagic
KAISERCRAFT PRODUCTS: PP1079 Paper Pad, SK819 Sticker Book, CR219 Curios, CS373 Clear Stamps, FL660 Flourish Pack, CT973 Collectables, IT498 Designer Template – Bubbles, DD482 Decorative Die Textured Netting, IP747 Ink Pad – Denim, T303 Foam Tape, T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue

Other: Molding Paste

I added some texture first using the PELAGIC paper (reverse) as the background, with stencil and molding paste.

I also loved how the Texture Netting decorative die added to the mixed media background as well as to the clusters and layers of papers, flourishes and die cuts under and around the photo.

I kept the wood flourishes as is to mix with the color palette of the collection. Then I stamped in random places using the clear stamp and Denim ink pad.
I have a tip for you as well, don’t throw away the paper product strips, you can use it like I did here, to add some wonderful word arts to your layout.

That’s all from me today. I hope you liked my layout as much as I do.

Thank you for dropping by!

Happy crafting,

Beach Days …..

Good morning how are you? What do you think of this months NEW Collections? They are amazing. I am kicking off the month with Uncharted Waters IN STORE NOW.

So to help you get started I have a Process Video here and a downloadable PDF file here

Now if you want to see how the flowers where made you can follow the link here and see how to create your very own Art Foam Flowers.

PRODUCTS USED:
PAPERS: UNCHARTERED WATERS Collection: P2854 Pelagic, PP1079, CT973 Collectables,

KC PRODUCTS: Art Foam, DD651 Captains Wheel Decorative Die, Decorative Die – 3D Layered Peony, LDB1056 Foam Tape, F627 White Paper Blooms.

Other: Paper Clay, Art Stones, Diamond Dust, Copic Ciao Markers.

So to start off I would spend the time making the flowers and setting them aside it can be a little bit labour intensive but you could just make them all with Kaiser Art Foam white and colour when needed for all your layouts. I used the Kaisercraft 3d layered

Peony die. I used some rhinestones and some stamen centers.

Another thing to point out is I used paper clay in a mold to create my shells so thats another thing to do ahead of time as its takes roughly 24 hrs to dry. They are very lightweight and work considering as an option when creating this style of layout.

If you dont have it is ok try real shells …..

To finish off the layout its all about all the bumpy, lumpy things like art stones, sand, prills and something sparkly drew drops, diamond dust, glass shards……

So till next time have a creative day…….

Rikki
