It’s always tricky to use a range that is not typical to your area, like Under the Gum Leaves. But having said that I fell in love with it when I first saw the amazing designs and that Koala simply stole my heart. But that also doesn’t mean that I can’t or won’t use it. And it turns out to be a really versatile range too.
I chose to create a little Christmas decor tree that can fit into any setting around the holidays no matter where in the world you are. The tree consists out of snowflakes cut on my Silhouette machine, and i9n a few easy steps I created something that even the kids can make during the festive season.
Kaisercraft Products: CT971 Collectables – Under the Gum Leaves ; P2832 Gum Leaves Other: Beads, Silhouette, Wooden Skewer, Hot glue gun
Cut several snowflakes from the patterned paper, punch holes in the middle of each snowflake. Then string them onto a wooden skewer with beads in between. Use a hot glue gun to adhere each bead to the snowflake.
I stuck the skewer in a piece of foam with a brown piece of felt as a tree skirt. Decorate the bottom of the tree with elements from the Collectables packet.
For the tree topper I added an extra bead and tied a tag from the Collectables packet with bakers twine to the top. Sprinkle the tree with clear glitter to add some festive shimmer to it. And in a few easy steps you created a simple but stunning Christmas decor tree. Until next time – I hope you have started your Christmas planning so long.
Hello and welcome, Annette here, today is my day to share a technique, I found this a great way to add depth to an image by layering a smaller photo centrally over a larger one. On this layout I have used only two photos however I have previously used three to emphasize the fullness of a large tree. I hope you find this a helpful idea and give it a try.
Sand the edges of the photos to give an distinct edge
Adhere both photos centrally on top of each other with a piece of cardboard, I use cardboard as it holds the photo firmly

THANKFUL…… The Australian theme of this range prompted me to design a page featuring our national flower-the beautiful golden wattle..
PAPERS: UNDER THE GUM LEAVES Collection: P2836-Wattle, P2831-Bottle Brush (reverse), P2829-Protea(reverse),P2834-Cockatoo,
Would you believe there was a glorious wattle in full bloom hanging over the back fence and a blue sky above I was able to get a great photo without leaving home .. just perfect ..
Then gathering all my chosen papers and trimmings I proceeded to play ..
Hoping I have inspired you to have a creative day .. have a wander through the blog and check out many other projects created by the Kaisercraft Design Team using this terrific Aussie range …. super awesome. I you wish instructions for my layout which can be downloaded & printed can be found HERE
Hello, Kaisercraft fans! It’s Lisa here today to share some Under the Gum Leaves inspiration! When I received this collection I loved the gorgeous florals but I really wanted to create a layout not using a Christmas theme, this collection worked beautifully.
I have started by using Wild Flora as my base page. I have then cut, torn and distressed some of the other patterned papers to layer in the centre of my page.
I have then used pieces of the Burlap Stack to tuck into my paper layers, with some floral elements.
I have then matted my photos on paper from the Paper Pad and adhered them to my layout.
I have then built up some floral clusters for the corners of my photos, using fussy cut elements and some of the Collectables.
I have then added a title and a Curio to my layout.
I have layered my matted title strip with a Collectable heart.
I hope that you like what I have created and that it inspires you to play today. You can find the full instructions for this layout HERE.
Is there a themed collection that you like to use for something other than what is expected? I would love to see if you have, please share in our Facebook Group – Kaisercaft Corner. You may be featured in our next collection look book.
Until next time! Lisa

I created this folded gift card holder using the Crafternoon Collection. I love folding quick and easy things and this one was so easy and super cute for gift giving especially with the Festive season in mind.
Design Team member Annette created this amazing card with its folded details. She used Under the Gum Leaves – the chevrons have folded ends and a rosette as focal point. How stunning!
And a side view of her amazing folding.
Now it’s your turn to create some folded inspiration for us. A Design Team member will choose one or two submissions at the end of the month and you can win one of our collection packs. What a wonderful way to show off your Christmas memories with this fabulous range “Under the Gum Tree” – I just loved the elements and here is my layout I created with this gorgeous range
Of course I was in my element – as I just love fussy cutting, so I found this range just perfect for just that, including being able to add bits from the sticker book and the collectables – perfect way to to layer all these fabulous elements.
The background paper is the reverse side of the P2836 Wattle. I have added some splatters of Gold Shimmer Mist spray on the page. The strips at the top and bottom of the page have been cut from the P2831 Bottle Brush paper.
I have used leaves and acorns from the collectables, as well as fussy cutting P2829 Protea – this also includes cutting some of the protea’s out and layering these between the leaves. The pine cones can be found in the sticker book. Pine cones have been bent to give it the rounded effect to resemble a pine cone and adhere with foam tape.
I have finished off adding a bit to the top right hand corner of the photo also. The title is from the sticker book – which I have cut up and layered. Merry Christmas from our family to yours
Good morning Kaiser Fans and welcome. Today I would like to share with you some Christmas cards and tags I made using the fabulous Under the Gum Leaves Collection. After I made them I didn’t quite know how to store them so came up with this storage display box. I really like how it turned out.
This box will hold 6 square Kaisercraft cards and 10 Gift Tags.
PRODUCTS USED: PAPERS:PP1077 Paper Pad|SK817 Sticker Book|CT971 Collectables|
KC PRODUCTS:Weave Cardstock – Bark|Foam Dots|
The cards were kept pretty simply, for the background I just used some pretty papers chosen from the paper pad collection. I die cut a variety of white circles for each card and used some gorgeous pieces from collectables to decorate using foam dots to adhere for dimension.
For the gift tags I used a die and some card stock to pre-cut all the tags. I then again used some pretty papers for the background and embellished with a combination of collectables and stickers from the sticker book. The great thing about the sticker book is that the stickers are printed on some sturdy card stock so I ended up adding some baby powder to the sticky part and use them like any other die cut, just love them so versatile.
A friend when visiting one day spotted my creation and liked it so much she commissioned me to make some for her Christmas shop so I came up with an even bigger box. This one will hold 12 square cards and 20 Gift Tags.
You will be able to find the instructions on how to make this box here.
That is all from me today. I hope you like my creations and get started on your Christmas card list because Christmas will be here before you know it.
Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am excited to share with you a Christmas card that has an Australian flair, both inside and out! I will be using products from Under the Gum Leaves by to create an Aussie Christmas Card.
Kaisercraft Products: Under the Gum Leaves Collection – PP1077 Paper Pad |Cardstock- CD601 White |CD308 Bark |CD366 Jungle | CT971 Under the Gum Leaves Collectables |CS368 Under the Gum Leaves Clear Stamps | DD552 Nested Stitched Squares Decorative Dies | Ink Pads- IP751 Chocolate | IP735 Amber |IP749 Fern |IP748 Forest |CD509 Card Pack Square Kraft |EF299 Cobblestones Embossing Folder |SB711 Red Rhinestones
OTHER: Ink Daubers | DD392 Mini Christmas Foliage |Onyx Black Ink
I used three inks and ink daubers to ink then stamp these foliage images. Having a stamping tool made this process simple, as you can ink sections of the stamp at a time.
I used a variety of collectable plus die cut pieces to add dimension to the foliage. I also like to add dimensional foam between my layers so that I have depth and also places to add my embellishments to my focal images.
Below is a video tutorial which demonstrates how to create the entire card.

If you would like to purchase any of the products from this collection, be sure to visit your local stockist or visit the Kaisercraft online store.
Hi Everyone, Chrissy here with the first of my October projects. Today I am sharing with you a layout I’ve created using the fabulous Under the Gum Leaves Kaisercraft collection – I just love this striking collection it is filled with beautiful Australian flora & fauna.
Kaisercraft Products: Under the Gum Leaves: P2829 Protea|P2831Bottle Brush|P2832 Gum Leaves|P2833 Fauna|P2836 Wattle|KM132 Gold Shimmer Kaisermist
Other Products: Edge punch|Red DMC Thread
I decided to focus on using the papers with all the beautiful flora on them, I had a photo in mind of my daughter and her friends, the colours matched perfectly. So I set about fussy cutting all the flowers and leaves from the Protea & Wattle papers.
I used a number of papers to make my base – Protea (reverse), Bottle Brush & Fauna. I added a couple of punched strips top and bottom and some colour coordinating stitching. I love stitching on my layouts to add that little extra interest.
I love the Gold Shimmer Kaisermist – it goes beautifully with the colours in this collection, so used it on the base of my layout.
I added my photo to the centre of the layout then started to arrange all the fussy cut elements around it.
I added foam pads to some to give height and dimension.
This collection is so versatile it can also be used for your non Christmas layouts and projects – like mine. You can find this fabulous collection over on the Kaisercraft website: https://www.kaisercraft.com.au/
I look forward to seeing your creations over on the Kaiser Corner facebook page
I have created a set of 6 cards using the sketch. I have also used the Under the Gum Leaves collection.
