Challenge #10 – Folding Paper

I created this folded gift card holder using the Crafternoon Collection. I love folding quick and easy things and this one was so easy and super cute for gift giving especially with the Festive season in mind.
Design Team member Annette created this amazing card with its folded details. She used Under the Gum Leaves – the chevrons have folded ends and a rosette as focal point. How stunning!
And a side view of her amazing folding.

Now it’s your turn to create some folded inspiration for us. A Design Team member will choose one or two submissions at the end of the month and you can win one of our collection packs.
For your chance to win upload a photo of your project to the KAISERCRAFT CORNER in the Challenge 10 Folder with the hashtag #KCChallenge10FoldingPaper
Please make sure you tag your entry and load in the album to be able to stand a chance of winning.
Thank you for playing along – we can’t wait to see what you create! Love Jowilna x

Peppermint Kisses – Holly Jolly Christmas

KC PRODUCTS: CT969 Collectables, CR215 Curios, SK815 Sticker Book,

Hello all, Annette here today sharing with you a double layout project created with the playful Christmas range “Peppermint Kisses”. I felt it was ideal for my granddaughter on Christmas morning sharing her joy after opening her gifts from under the tree.

After layering my chosen papers and photos the fussy cutting began, then I gathered all the selected pieces from the collectables package and the sticker book.

Arranging these embellishments I them adhered to the pages using wet glue and foam tape to add dimension. A couple of the pretty curios and chosen quote finished off my project. I hope you have been inspired to play with these fun pages to create your own special Christmas Layouts.

SPARKLE – Let it Shine Collection

Hello and Welcome,
It’s Annette here, delighted to be sharing my first project as a member of the Kaisercraft Design Team. This collection is so pretty, the shades of turquoise with shiny silver and white, just perfect non-traditional Christmas pages or snow holidays. I chose to create a LO of my daughter, who always leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes.

PAPER: LET IT SNOW Collection: P2808 All is Calm, P2806 Pine Forest, plus reverse & quote strip, P2803 Delightful, P2804 Twinkle Star
KC PRODUCTS: Cardstock: 2 x Slate,1 x White. Die cut, F632Flowers, SK814Sticker Book, Rhinestones- Clear, KM127Kaiser Mist, Flourish pack – Shine small wooden snowflakes,
OTHER: Silver Glitter, Lace and larger wooden snowflakes.

I love to frame my pages, so using the deep SLATE grey as my base and then WHITE cardstock, I felt it highlighted the completed page perfectly. Distressing and shabbying ?? (is that really a word) is another feature of my scrapbooking ‘style’.

I also triple matted my photos as they are the main focal point. Don’t we scrapbook is to tell a story however simple about our photos?
I also misted, added rhinestones and glitter to complement the title ‘SPARKLE’.

There are many layers of prettiness with lace and clusters, I hope you like what I have created. if you wish to create your version of my Layout the instructions can be found HERE.

Bye for now, Happy Scrapping, Annette x

BOYS will be BOYS- layout by Annette Gearside

Hello all and welcome .. it’s fantastic to see you here, This is Annette sharing my first blog post as a design team member and what better way than with this super masculine range ‘ WORKSHOP’. Love the grungy look of this collection, with blue/grey with a touch of rust, so awesome for the boys& men in your life.

BOYS will be BOYS

PRODUCTS USED: PAPERS: WORKSHOP Collection: P2798-Courageous, P2801Chivalrous, P2797-Gallant

KC PRODUCTS: Cardstock ‘Anchor’ Inks IP751-Chocolate, IP747Denim, Wooden Cogs, CS364-Stamp, CT967-Collectables, SK813-Sticker book, IT494-Stencil

I really like to frame my Layouts so I used cardstock , then my chosen patterned papers, distressing all edges to add to the grungy look, then applying thick heavy gesso through a stencil then stamping for dimension.

I double matted two of my photos and the centre feature photo was framed to highlight. you may also notice my photos are not perfect, a little blurry , they still however tell a story & preserve memories.

I inked & glazed the wooden cogs, plus used bits from the collectables & fussy cut some cogs from the patterned paper , these have been added with various thicknesses of foam tape.

I framed my feature photo with the ruler print, I felt this pic truly portrayed my grandson who absolutely groans when I ask for a posed pic, truly I could create an album of poked tongues & screwed up facial expressions. I have started to use them because it him to a ‘T’ the joker.

I thoroughly enjoyed creating with this ‘WORKSHOP range of papers and I know you will also, if you wish to create a similar LO my instructions for this layout are HERE.

Bye for now, till next time,

Happy Scrapping, Annette

For Someone Special

Hello !! Welcome !! When asked by Melissa Kennedy to be a Guest Designer for May I was absolutely delighted. It was so wonderful to play with this gorgeous collection titled ‘With Love’, the patterns are so feminine, the colours so pretty & girlie & all highlighted with gold. I knew I just had to use a photo of my granddaughter taken for her birthday.

I chose to use a black/white photo so it would pop off the page & allow the colours to shine.

Papers Used: P2748 With love | P2752 Sending Love |P2749 Someone Special | P2755 Just Because | P2756 All my Love | CT 961Coloured Collectables |

Others: Lace |Ink |Border punch

There are many layers built onto the patterned paper base, I like the distressed look so all papers are distressed & edges inked. Spending some time fussy cutting & inking the flowers & leaves, I proceeded to build the page using foam tape to build up the layers.

I then tucked in the greetings, labels & butterflies

The strips under the flowers are from the title strips of the papers

I was really loved creating with this Kaisercraft range & my wish is I have inspired you to play as well. Thank You so much for the opportunity to share!!

Happy Scrapping
