Hi everyone, It’s Chrissy here with you today sharing my latest layout using the gorgeous “Fallen Leaves” Kaisercraft collection – this range features beautiful patterns & leaves in a rich, earthy colour palette of golds, greens and browns.
Kaisercraft Products Fallen Leaves collection:P2919 Crunchy x 2|P2921 Cosy Corner x 2|P2923 Warm Breeze|P2926 Morning Dew x 2|CS381 Clear Stamp|PP1087 6.5 x 6.5 Paper Pad|CT 981 Collectables Set.
Other Products:Gold DMC Thread|Acetate Sheet
I started by using the dark green side of one of the Cosy Corner papers as my base, just to give that green edge to my layout. I then layered on the morning Dew paper and then at an angle another Cosy Corner paper.
I stitched a border around the second shaped dark green paper, then layered this on top.
I fussy cut lots of the leaves from the other papers & paper pad, I also used the leaf in the stamp set, stamped over the big gold leaves then fussy cut them out
I then layered up all the leaves, some in the bottom lefthand corner of my photo
………and layered them in the top right hand corner of my photo
I like to build up my clusters, i use foam pads to do this, which then gives it height and dimension
I love building up height and dimension on my layouts – shape your clusters and use foam pads to get this look.
Hi Everyone, it is nice to be back with a post and inspiration using this gorgeous collection – “Little Treasures” which features balloons and bunnies in wonderful pastel colours, just perfect for your precious baby photo’s.
Products Used: P2930 x 2 Sweet Dreams|P2933 x 1 Baby Steps|P2932 x 2 Cuddles|CT982 Little Treasures Collectables|CD301 Snow Kaiser Card
Other Products Used: Coordinating cotton|Gold Rhinestones
These are such beautiful papers to work with, I love layering up my base for my layout and add some colour coordinating stitching.
I layered my photo of Merley onto a centre circle of snow Kaiser Card and made a frill around the edge.
These papers were great for fussy cutting, I had so much fun and it is very relaxing, I did have to use more than one of the same paper, but think it was worth it.
I also like to layer up the fussy cut elements to give height.
I use foam pads in between all the layers – to finish I added a little gold bling to the centres of the flowers.
Hi Everyone, today I am sharing with you a layout I’ve created using the stunning – Sunkissed collection – this range features tropical flowers & exotic wildlife, be inspired & capture your favourite memories.

After fussy cutting loads of flowers & leaves from the Gum Leaves, flowering and Banksia Bouquet papers, I then made my base I also hand stitched in two coordinating colours and added my photo.
I then started to arrange all those beautiful fussy cut embellishments around my photo, in the bottom right hand corner.
…..and top left hand corner. To give height I added foam pads to some of the flowers, I also like to curl them, I think this adds extra interest and dimension
I love this photo of my daughter, she always had so much fun on her trampoline, we captured this lovely image of her in mid air. Even though this is an Australian themed collection, I think it can be used with all sorts of photo’s.
To finish off my layout I dotted about some fun words
I hope I have inspired you to use this beautiful collection……it works with all sorts of photo’s. I look forward to seeing your creations over on Kaiser Corner.
Hi Everyone, welcome to Challenge Corner No: #14 – Stitching!!! I don’t know if you have noticed but I love stitching on my projects, especially my layouts, you can colour match the threads to your beautiful papers and I also find it very relaxing. The “Oh Happy Day’ is a fabulous collection for adding stitching with all those pretty bright coloured papers, so I used some bright red thread which stands out on the beautiful blue paper. So come on, show me your projects with some added stitching, it can be hand stitching or machine. I am so looking forward to seeing your lovely stitched creations.

As this collection is about celebration and parties I wanted to create a fun, bright explosion of colour on my layout, my photo was taken at my daughters Birthday party, she was having so much fun, she didn’t see us snapping away, I love her expression!!!!
The coordinating stamp set is just so much fun, I’m not sure what you call them, but stamped and fussy cut the little flower type stamp on some of the Kaiser card, they made great centres to the Doily Die cut outs and I also added some around my layout to give little pops/explosions of colour.

Hi Everyone, Chrissy here with my first project for December using the gorgeous & exotic “Grand Bazaar” collection. I love the bright rich colours in this collection and the flowers on the “Boho Paisley” paper were just perfect for fussy cutting.
Kaisercraft Products Used: Grand Bazaar – P2866 Folklore|P2867 Ceramic Tiles x3|P2868 Boho Paisley x 2|FL662 Flourish Pack|
Other Products Used:SB793 Black Pearls|CD324 Crimson Kaisercard|Red Thread for sewing
I used the Crimson Kaisercard for my base, I love adding coordinating card stock as a frame for my layouts. On top of this I matted the reverse side of the “Folklore” paper and added bright red hand stitching. On top of this I matted the mustard side of the “Ceramic Tiles” paper (with more stitching) I fussy cut all the tiles from another piece of the “Ceramic Tiles” paper.
I picked out the tiles from the paper with mainly the dark blues & reds on them. The Wooden flourishes make great titles, I coloured the “Thankful for you” Flourish using black and yellow ink pads.
I fussy cut the flowers from the “Boho Paisley” paper and arranged them around my photo, I love the detail on these flowers
This layout has lots of height, I love using foam pads to some of the fussy cut flowers to achieve this. I also like to curl and shape them.
I loved using this beautiful collection and hope i have inspired you to have a play – and look forward to seeing your creations using it over on Kaiser Corner.
You can find this beautiful collection and other Kaisercraft products over on the Kaisercraft website
I love the feminine feel and delicate florals in this this beautiful collection and the combination of dainty pinks and green – and isn’t the “Rose” paper just gorgeous, perfect for fussy cutting. I had a photo in mind for my layout, my daughter & I attended a Peaky Blinders festival, I am so proud of her as she completely re-designed an over sized vintage mens outfit to fit herself.

I started to assemble the base of my layout using Elsie & Jessica papers and Tutu Kaisercard.
I love stitching on my layouts and projects, so after punching along two edges of the Jessica and Tutu Kaisercard I then stitched along the punched edges.
The coordinating stamp set is just so beautiful, I love the lace borders so stamped, fussy cut and stitched along the edges then added these to the layout.
How relaxing is fussy cutting, I couldn’t resist fussy cutting all those beautiful flowers from the two Rose papers.
I arranged all the beautiful fussy cut Roses around my photo, in the top right hand corner.
……….and bottom left hand corner.
I used foam pads to give some height and dimension
……and stamped and fussy cut the pretty little butterflies from the coordinating stamp set to add extra interest

Hi Everyone, Chrissy here with another Technique Tuesday. Today I will be sharing with you the art of “Fussy Cutting” – also what fussy cutting means, what you can fussy cut and my preferred tools to use to fussy cut with.
When I first started Scrapbooking I hadn’t even heard of the term “fussy cutting” however I soon discovered I loved the idea of cutting out beautiful flowers and images from the gorgeous papers and it was a friend who then said to me – “you love your fussy cutting don’t you” and that is how I found out what it meant and my projects over the years have featured more & more fussy cutting. So Fussy Cutting is: Cutting out specific images from your paper.
Here are a few images cut from the gorgeous Uncharted Waters papers.
I think the term “Fussy Cutting” originated from cutting material, this is what I found on Google: “A fussy cut is a piece of fabric that’s been cut to target a specific area of a print, rather than cutting the yardage into random pieces”.
I am really drawn to beautiful floral papers, I love fussy cutting all the flowers then arranging them into clusters on my layouts – however, you don’t need pretty floral papers to be able to fussy cut, even with this beautiful “Uncharted Waters” collection there are many, many things to fussy cut. The shells and other sea themed images.
………even the ropes, (which then look 3D) anchors and shells from the “Sea Shore” paper. The corner netting image from the Hook paper which I have cut out twice, the second one slightly smaller and then layered it up on top of the first one to give some height and dimension (see image below)
….and for some extreme fussy cutting, how about this netting (below) from the “Streak” paper which I have then added to the bottom of my layout.
so yes, you can fussy cut anything!!! why not give it a go!!
There is not a set tool or scissors that you Should use to fussy cut, you can use what ever you feel comfortable using, I found very early on into my fussy cutting that I loved using one specific pair of small curved nail scissors which I still use today. (the ones on the right in below image) I do have about three other slightly different pairs of small scissors but these are just in case I loose my favourite pair as they have now been discontinued
Once all the fussy cutting has been done you can put your layout together. Another reason I love fussy cutting is that I find it very relaxing – and gives your projects that little extra lovely touch.
……..and you can use foam pads to give some height and dimension to your fussy cut elements
Hi Everyone, Chrissy here with a layout I’ve created using the fabulous “Crafternoon” collection. Oh yes…a collection about crafting!!! I love all the little fun crafty sentiments and imagery. So for my layout I decided to use a black & white photo of my craft room.
Products used: Crafternoon Collection: P2838 Handmade|P2841 Back Stitch|P2842 Crafty|P2843 Measured|P2845 DIY|P2846 Cut & Paste|FL659 Crafternoon Flourish Pack|SB777 Black Rhinestones
Other products: DMC thread|Butterfly punch
For this layout I decided to pick out a couple of colours from the collection, I just love the minty green and yellow papers then added a splash of black with some of the sentiments and painted wood flourishes – and thought a black and white photo would work perfectly.
How cute are these teeny tiny images of paint tubes, brushes and that manakin – these were fussy cut from the Handmade paper. I painted the Wooden flourish buttons black and added yellow coordinating thread to them.
I fussy cut all the beautiful flowers and leaves from the Back Stitch paper and the Making Memories hoop from the DIY paper. I have tried to add things and items to my layout that captures my love of scrapbooking – the tiny needle represents my passion of stitching on layouts, the little black scissors below for my other passion – fussy cutting.
More fussy cut flowers – next to the tiny Wooden Flourish scissors, which I also painted black
I have throughly enjoyed using this fabulous crafty collection and hope I have inspired you to create with it and I look forward to seeing those creations over on the Kaisercraft Corner facebook/ page. You can also find all these lovely Kaiser goodies over on the website.
