Tech Tuesday – Layering Elements

Hello all! It’s Lisa here today to share some inspiration and a technique with you.
I have been working with the Let It Snow Collection and this is what I have created

PAPERS: LET IT SNOW Collection: P2804 Twinkle Star, P2806 Pine Forest, P2807 Shimmering
KC PRODUCTS: CS365 Clear Stamp Set, SK814 Sticker Book, CT968 Collectables, CR214 Curios, IT495 Scattered Stars Template, Kaiser Mist KM127 Turquoise,
Ink Pads IP746 Peacock, IP752 Smoke, IP745 Seabreeze.
OTHER:Modelling Paste, gauze.

For this layout, I wanted to use the Clear Stamp Set to add extra trees and snowflakes, stamped in Seabreeze Ink, layering with the Collectables to create a forest around my photo.

I have started by building up my background, I have used the Scattered Stars Template to stencil first with Ink and then with modelling paste.
I have also stamped some snowflakes and splashed some Kaiser Mist in Turquoise.

I have started to add in some sticker strips and snowflakes from the Sticker Book.
Adhere some gauze to your layout.
I have then added some of the trees, to start my forest.

Once I have built the first layer of trees, I then adhered my photo, and added another layer of trees, some adhered with foam tape for dimension.

I have then added some more trees to the other side of my photo,
again layering some stamped and some collectable trees.

I have then started to add some more of the stamped snowflakes.

I have used one of the Curios from this collection.

A couple of the sentiments from the Collectables and the Sticker Book.

I hope that you like what I have created.
I am in love with the colours and snowflakes in this collection, just gorgeous!

Until next time!
Lisa xo

Merry and Bright Layout Tutorial

It’s not what’s under the Christmas tree that matters – it’s whats around it…

“I really wanted to make some elements look like ‘Christmas morning’ while the kids are opening presents
… all that ripped paper!” – Rikki Grazia

Everybody wants a little Peace and Joy

Today we are sharing a few more layouts the Design Team have created in the gorgeous watercolored Christmas Collection – Peace and Joy

To download the instructions for any of the following, just click on one or all of the layouts below.

A Time for All – Jowilna Nolte
Jowilna has featured the Gloss Specialty and used it as her background.
This page can easily be misted or inked to suit any paper collection.

Holiday Cheer – Cathy McGrath
If you like a little mixed media and the vintage feel, Cathy has done just that with the layout below.

Merry and Bright – Lisa Amiet
Red and white candy stripes always makes me think of Christmas.

She has created a focal point on a busy striped background by painting/sponging white gesso
into a diamond shape and then building up her layout from there.

A Time for all – Rikki Graziani
Rikki has featured the page P2611 | Merry, and as she loves doing, fussy cut the flowers and
foliage and created this gorgeous layered layout.

and last but definately not least.

Christmas Spirit – Donna Espiritu
As well as fussy cutting some of the designs in the papers, Donna has shown how to easily you can create layers by adding in various collectables to her design.
