Starry Night – So much Sparkle!

Hello again! It’s Lisa here today to share some inspiration with you.
I have a layout that I have created using one of this month’s collections ‘Starry Night’

PAPERS: STARRY NIGHT Collection: P2820 Daring, P2822 Striking, P2823 Magic, P2824 Miraculous, P2825 Glowing, P2827 Astounding
KC PRODUCTS: CT970 Collectables, SK816 Sticker Book, FL657 Flourish Pack
OTHER: Cardboard

For this layout I have used MAGIC as my base page,
I fell in love with all those gold sparkles!

I have fussy cut some of the florals from DARING.
I have then built my photo stack using some of the beautiful patterned papers.

I have then added some of the stickers, from the Sticker Book
and some Collectables to my page.
I love that Christmas Tree!

I have then added s sentiment from the Sticker Book,
and some gold star Collectables.

I have also used one of the Wood Flourishes, along with some present stickers,
raised using foam tape.

To finish I have added some Word Stickers to my page.

I really love how this layout turned out. All that gorgeous gold.
I hope you like it too!
You can find the full instructions for this layout HERE.

You can find the ‘Starry Night’ collection in stock now at your local stockist,
or online at Kaisercraft.

Until next time!

Technique Tuesday – Mixed Media Rusty Cogs

Hello Chrissy here with another Technique Tuesday. Today I am sharing with you how I created some Mixed Media cogs using the Kaisercraft Wooden Flourish pack Workshop, ink pads and paint.

Workshop Collection: P2793 Tough|P2797 Gallant|P2799 Strapping|P2800 Handsome|P2801 Chivalrous|CT967 Workshop Collectables|FL654 Flourish Pack

Other: SB792 Chocolate Pearls|KC048 Mud Puddle Acrylic Paint|IP756 Ink Pad Gold Pigment|IP755 Ink Pad Silver Pigment|IP719 Black Mini Ink Pad|IP723 Vintage Mini Ink Pad|DD448 Cogs Panel Decorative Die|CD606 Navy Card Stock|KM129 Navy KAISERmist|KM132 Gold Shimmer KAISERmist

Other: Texture Paste|Crystal Lacquer

I started off by painting all the Wood Flourish Cogs in Mud Puddle paint, it doesn’t have to be precise, it is like an undercoat. Next I lightly dabbed on random bits of texture paste, then left to dry for a few mins. The next bit is fun, adding layers of ink using the Silver, Black & Vintage ink pads, lastly adding the Gold ink pad on top.

I also die cut some cogs from the Navy Kaiser card and used the same process without the texture paste.

Now to create the rest of the layout, I started off by building up my base using navy card and a selection of the Workshop papers.

I LOVE stitching on my layouts, so added some extra interest by hand stitching along the length of some of the papers. Then started to build up my layout by adding layers around my photo.

I’ve added the cogs around my photo, adding foam pads to some to give height and dimension.

I have had a typewriter sat on my desk for a very long time and have never really used it, I decided to type some of the lovely sayings from the collection onto a strip of paper and added that to my layout.

To finish off my layout I have added a few tiny metal embellishments and pearls to the centre of my cogs. I hope this has inspired you to have ago at Mixed Media cogs, this was my first time, it was fun so I will be doing it again very soon.
