Fallen Leaves – Treasure the day

Hi everyone, It’s Chrissy here with you today sharing my latest layout using the gorgeous “Fallen Leaves” Kaisercraft collection – this range features beautiful patterns & leaves in a rich, earthy colour palette of golds, greens and browns.

Kaisercraft Products Fallen Leaves collection: P2919 Crunchy x 2|P2921 Cosy Corner x 2|P2923 Warm Breeze|P2926 Morning Dew x 2|CS381 Clear Stamp|PP1087 6.5 x 6.5 Paper Pad|CT 981 Collectables Set.

Other Products: Gold DMC Thread|Acetate Sheet

I started by using the dark green side of one of the Cosy Corner papers as my base, just to give that green edge to my layout. I then layered on the morning Dew paper and then at an angle another Cosy Corner paper.

I stitched a border around the second shaped dark green paper, then layered this on top.

I fussy cut lots of the leaves from the other papers & paper pad, I also used the leaf in the stamp set, stamped over the big gold leaves then fussy cut them out

I then layered up all the leaves, some in the bottom lefthand corner of my photo

………and layered them in the top right hand corner of my photo

I like to build up my clusters, i use foam pads to do this, which then gives it height and dimension

I love building up height and dimension on my layouts – shape your clusters and use foam pads to get this look.

Thank you for stopping by, you can find this beautiful collection over on the Kaisercraft website https://www.kaisercraft.com.au/

Tropical Vibes – Sunkissed

Hello Kaisercraft lovers and welcome to the blog today!

PRODUCTS USED: P2906 Lemon Lime | P2903 Mojito | P2905 Long Island | CT979 Collectables | IT502 Tropical Leaves Stencil | DD474 Cross Lattice Texture Die

WOW! The colours in this collection just grabbed me! So bright and happy. From those beautiful birds to the pretty pink flowers. Just makes me want a holiday. Instead I decided to put the papers to use and scrap a photo of my hubby sitting under a palm tree in our pool at home with a cocktail in hand. The papers were perfect!

I chose the Lemon Lime paper as my background. This was way out of my comfort zone as I almost always use a white background but I loved this paper so thought I would mix it up a little.

To start I added some stencil work using the Tropical Leaves stencil that co-ordinates with the collection and added some leaves to the back ground.

I fussy cut the flowers from the corner of the Long Island paper and then made my paper cluster for my photo to sit on.

Now I start and tuck everything into those layers. I also added in the Cross Lattice texture die too.

Here is a closer look at some of that stencil work and how pretty is that bird!

Thank you for stopping by today. Be sure to pick up this beautiful collection from your local paper craft store now and don’t forget to share your work on our Facebook page.

Until next time – happy crafting!

Favourite Day

Good morning how are you? Well I always joke about needing more time….. we are lucky as its a leap year and we have another 24 hrs…..what are you planning to do with your extra time? Myself I am here to finish off the month with a layout using the amazing Native Breeze.

You can download a PDF file HERE and if you want to follow along you can do so with a Process Video HERE

PRODUCTS USED:

PAPERS: NATIVE BREEZE Collection: P2856 Banksia Bouquet, P2858 Gum Leaves, P2860 Eucalyptus, P2861 Native Flock, P2862 Sundown, SK824 Sticker Sheet,

To start this layout I knew that I wanted the eucalyptus pattern to be further down the page to to move it I chopped off the bottom 3rd and then uses some of that to rip layers to add to the top…..

When sticking the strips down dont go to nuts with the tape because you want to add all the native flowers and fussy cutting in between those layers.

So have fun with your extra 24 hours and till next time have a creative day xxxxx

Lily & Moss – Live in the Moment

Hi Everyone, today on the blog I am sharing with you a layout I’ve created using the beautiful Lily & Moss Collection – the range features pretty pinks & greens and a variety of textures with an artistic feel.

Products used: Lily & Moss Collection|P2883 Pink Plaster|P2886 Flicker|P2887 Flora|P2888 Whirl|P2890 Primary|P2891 Circular x 2
KC Products: SK823 Sticker Book |CT977 Collectables |CD Thyme Kaisercard|DD3352 Lily Decorative Die|RS402 Island Lagoon Rhinestones

Other: Green DMC thread

Once all the base layers were cut to size and matted together I then start to fussy cut all the beautiful flowers and butterflies. If you don’t have enough from the papers, check out the sticker book & collectable packs – I stuck the stickers onto paper then fussy cut around them – I also cut the white edges from the collectables.

I also fussy cut the frames from the P2891 Circular paper, hand stitched around them and layered these onto the base papers

There are so many beautiful flowers in this collection and along with the Lily Decorative Die, I arranged these around my black and white photo.

To give some height to the flowers and embellishments I use foam pads

I love the P2888 Whirl paper, it looks great behind the frames and the stitching & black butterflies finish off the layout.

I hope I have inspired you to use this beautiful collection and look forward to seeing your creations over on Kaisercraft Corner – you can also purchase the Lily & Moss collection here

Moments

Good morning how are you? Nothing like kicking off the New Year with some new collection and feeling inspired….. what inspires you?

I am here with this months new and only collection Lily and Moss……

This collection has amazing soft pink and green tones with some stunning floral features.

For me its all about the layers and adding some fussy cutting in between those layers also. So to see how this layout was created you can follow the process video HERE. And download a PDF HERE.

To be able to add things into the layers dont add a lot of tapes or glues to the edges this allows you to add things and it gives it a freer look.

Add banners from the sticker book to add different details to your layers and finish off with a Curios.

Till next time have a creative day.

Friendship – Under the Gum Leaves

Hi Everyone, Chrissy here with the first of my October projects. Today I am sharing with you a layout I’ve created using the fabulous Under the Gum Leaves Kaisercraft collection – I just love this striking collection it is filled with beautiful Australian flora & fauna.

Kaisercraft Products: Under the Gum Leaves: P2829 Protea|P2831Bottle Brush|P2832 Gum Leaves|P2833 Fauna|P2836 Wattle|KM132 Gold Shimmer Kaisermist

Other Products: Edge punch|Red DMC Thread

I decided to focus on using the papers with all the beautiful flora on them, I had a photo in mind of my daughter and her friends, the colours matched perfectly. So I set about fussy cutting all the flowers and leaves from the Protea & Wattle papers.

I used a number of papers to make my base – Protea (reverse), Bottle Brush & Fauna. I added a couple of punched strips top and bottom and some colour coordinating stitching. I love stitching on my layouts to add that little extra interest.

I love the Gold Shimmer Kaisermist – it goes beautifully with the colours in this collection, so used it on the base of my layout.

I added my photo to the centre of the layout then started to arrange all the fussy cut elements around it.

I added foam pads to some to give height and dimension.

This collection is so versatile it can also be used for your non Christmas layouts and projects – like mine. You can find this fabulous collection over on the Kaisercraft website: https://www.kaisercraft.com.au/

I look forward to seeing your creations over on the Kaiser Corner facebook page

Being together is the best gift of all – Starry Night

Chrissy here today sharing my first project with you for September, featuring the striking and gorgeous “Starry Night” Kaisercraft collection. I love the gold foiling and strong colour palette in this collection and of course the poinsettias which are crying out to be fussy cut.

PRODUCTS USED

PAPERS: Starry Night: P2820 Daring|P2823 Magic|P2824 Miraculous|P2828 Radiant|CT970 Collectable Pack|SK816 Sticker Book|CS367 Clear Stamp

Kaisercraft Products: KM132 Gold Kaisermist|SB776 Bronze Rhinestones|GC107 Golden Glitter Card Stock|DD794 Ornate Pack 2 Decorative Die|CD313 Caramel Card Stock|CD606 Navy Kaiser Card
Other: Gold DMC Thread|black ink pad

I created my base using the Navy and Caramel and the gold Glitter card stock. On top of this I layered the Magic paper and the reverse of the Daring paper which was cut to shape and edged with the gold Glitter card stock which was die-cut using the Ornate pack no:2 – and some stitching using metallic gold thread.

I also sprayed some Gold Kaisermist to the top right hand corner and bottom left hand corner of my base.

The poinsettias on the Miraculous paper are just gorgeous, so I fussy cut these and layered them up.

The coordinating stamp set has some lovely elements on it – I stamped and fussy cut the little poinsettia’s.

I like to change the colour of my photo’s to match my papers, so added a vintage/gold tone to this photo which was originally a coloured photo. I added layers under my photo and stared to bulid up the rest of my layout.

There are some lovely collectables in this collection, I used the gold swirls and gold ornate flourishes from the pack to add interest around my photo.

I finished by adding all the fussy cut poinsettias around my layout & added some bronze rhinestones to finished.

I hope I have inspired you today to use this beautiful collection – Starry Night with it’s sophisticated gold foil elements. You can find the downloadable instructions here

Technique Tuesday – Mixed Media Rusty Cogs

Hello Chrissy here with another Technique Tuesday. Today I am sharing with you how I created some Mixed Media cogs using the Kaisercraft Wooden Flourish pack Workshop, ink pads and paint.

Workshop Collection: P2793 Tough|P2797 Gallant|P2799 Strapping|P2800 Handsome|P2801 Chivalrous|CT967 Workshop Collectables|FL654 Flourish Pack

Other: SB792 Chocolate Pearls|KC048 Mud Puddle Acrylic Paint|IP756 Ink Pad Gold Pigment|IP755 Ink Pad Silver Pigment|IP719 Black Mini Ink Pad|IP723 Vintage Mini Ink Pad|DD448 Cogs Panel Decorative Die|CD606 Navy Card Stock|KM129 Navy KAISERmist|KM132 Gold Shimmer KAISERmist

Other: Texture Paste|Crystal Lacquer

I started off by painting all the Wood Flourish Cogs in Mud Puddle paint, it doesn’t have to be precise, it is like an undercoat. Next I lightly dabbed on random bits of texture paste, then left to dry for a few mins. The next bit is fun, adding layers of ink using the Silver, Black & Vintage ink pads, lastly adding the Gold ink pad on top.

I also die cut some cogs from the Navy Kaiser card and used the same process without the texture paste.

Now to create the rest of the layout, I started off by building up my base using navy card and a selection of the Workshop papers.

I LOVE stitching on my layouts, so added some extra interest by hand stitching along the length of some of the papers. Then started to build up my layout by adding layers around my photo.

I’ve added the cogs around my photo, adding foam pads to some to give height and dimension.

I have had a typewriter sat on my desk for a very long time and have never really used it, I decided to type some of the lovely sayings from the collection onto a strip of paper and added that to my layout.

To finish off my layout I have added a few tiny metal embellishments and pearls to the centre of my cogs. I hope this has inspired you to have ago at Mixed Media cogs, this was my first time, it was fun so I will be doing it again very soon.

Pretty in Pink….

Good morning…. What do you think of this months NEW Collections? Well we re jumping straight into it with this weeks Technique Tuesday…. using the amazing sheet from the Magenta Collection – P2782 Pink.

PAPERS: MAGENTA Collection: P2780 Pomegrante, P2782 Pink, PP1071 Paper Pad, CT965 Collectables, CR211 Curios.
KC PRODUCTS: CD302 Coal Cardstock, T303 Foam Tape, T315 Double Sided 12mm Tape.

For my layout I decided I really wanted to use the amazing bold background – its stunning but how do you team things with it without getting lost?

Thats where the P2782 Pink comes into play……

The black and white side is the one I focused on but you can have a couple of options for this as well.

You could use your Kaiser Mists and add water and do a water colour effect. You could use your Kaiser Gel Pens and colour them in …… or leave them as they are.

So when creating this I decided to have the large size flower cluster on the right and a smaller size flower cluster on the left ( you can find the scaled down version in the paper pad).

To create the journal strips I cut up on of the bar code strips to make it fit in my space.

You can get the downloadable instructions from here . Till next time have a creative day xxx.

Be Your Own Kind Of Beautiful ~ Layout by Donna Espiritu

PAPERS: MAGENTA Collection: P2782 Pink, SK811 Sticker Book, CT965 Collectables, CR211 Curios.
KC PRODUCTS: CD101 White, KM125 Candy, KM131 Black, T315 Double-Sided Tape, T303 Foam Tape, T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue

Other: White Thread

She used the fussy cut flowers and leaves from the Pink paper to create a wreath design. Before placing them, she splattered some Kaiser Mists to the background.

Using foam tape to build the flowers and curling the edges added depth and texture. She alternated between flowers, shape, and color, for an interesting detail. Then she placed the flowers and leaves in a circle shape and built the wreath design from there.

Thanks for dropping by and happy crafting!
