Today I am here to share with you a quick little layout using the amazing Oh Happy Day collection, what do you think of the rest of the teams shares so far? Its a really fun collection and perfect of all those birthdays that we take 100 photos of.
I have created a process video if you would like to follow on HERE and if you would like a downloadable PDF you can get it from HERE
This collection has some amazing pops of foil really adding the perfect touch to any celebration.
Dont forget to add a little CURIOS to finish off the page its the perfect little thing.
Sometimes you might find your background a little bit stark add some Kaisermist Gold to help break up your background , it goes great with all the metallic foils.
Good morning how are you? Sometimes a collection comes along and you have an instant love for it this NEW collection – Grand Bazzar is this for me. Today I am sharing with you how to showcase all the amazing pattern in this collection.
Now if you want to see how the flowers where made you can follow the link here and see how to create your very own Art Foam Flowers.
So to start off I would spend the time making the flowers and setting them aside it can be a little bit labour intensive but you could just make them all with Kaiser Art Foam white and colour when needed for all your layouts. I used the Kaisercraft 3d layered
Peony die. I used some rhinestones and some stamen centers.
Another thing to point out is I used paper clay in a mold to create my shells so thats another thing to do ahead of time as its takes roughly 24 hrs to dry. They are very lightweight and work considering as an option when creating this style of layout.
If you dont have it is ok try real shells …..
To finish off the layout its all about all the bumpy, lumpy things like art stones, sand, prills and something sparkly drew drops, diamond dust, glass shards……
I have created a set of 6 cards using the sketch. I have also used the Under the Gum Leaves collection.
A Design Team member will choose one or two submissions at the end of the month and you can win one of our collection pack. There is something about the Traditional Christmas Collection that beings back so many memories from childhood, whether its Candy Canes, Peppermints or Toy Soldiers, this collection has all of this and so much more.
Peppermint Kisses is one of this months NEW Christmas Collections – IN STORE NOW and I was so happy with all the little details I just knew I had to fussy cut some of them out to showcase them.
With Christmas just around the corner ( I know but it really isnt that far away) it gets you thinking of the decoration process for me its all about spending time with those special and dearest to us and I love setting the Christmas decorations out to make it a little bit more special…..
So why dont you give it a try I promise it is easy to make maybe a little fiddly in parts but it is worth it. I have even made a video tutorial so you can follow along while you create your own flower center piece.
If you want to have the instructions you can download HERE
If your anything like me, you have 1000’s of photos but you keep printing more and then you realise I am never going to get rid of the backlog – especially if your doing one photo per layout…. But then this situation has some tricky parts to figure out – how many photos is too many? I dont like doing double layouts? I like the crisp look of one photo on a page…….
Well I have the perfect layout for you!!! Something with a little hidden flip out book that still stays flat in your albums but you can add plenty of photos and journaling while keeping it crisp and clean.
From the inside of the book …. you can customise it to what ever width you need I did it slightly bigger than a 5×7 photo.
This is where the fun beings – adding all your photos and journaling I like to have all my photos touching each other it makes it look like one big photo and it stops that pesky trapped space.
Now to add some mixed media to the layout dont be afraid to stamp over the top of the die cut… I dont use a block for my stamp which allows the stamp to have less of an edge.
Now I just a brush to add my heavy ink….. it allows more control and less waste.
