Art Journal Page Tutorials by Kasia and Tatiana

Hello guys.. Kasia and Tatiana here today with an Art Journal Page.

Scrap studio screams mixed media and art journal to me and I loved using the different elements together with the new Kaiser Mists and Kaiser Ink pads to create this page. .

The colours of the mists are so vibrant and blend beautifully together, leaving a lovely shimmer when dry.

Tear small pieces of the Scrap Studio Paper pad papers and randomly adhere with gel medium to the page.

Roughly paint on white gesso to blend in the background.

When dry add the two doily stickers from the sticker sheet to the top and bottom of your page.

Adhere small bundled strips of muslin with gesso and allow to dry well.

Adhere strips from the sticker sheet, EXPRESSIONS and the paper pad down the bottom left of your page, slightly overlapping one another.

Apply texture paste through the two templates around your cluster of strips and allow to dry really well before moving to the next step.

Spray the Denim and Turquoise mists to the bottom left of your page and add a couple of sprays of water to help the colour move further. Add some sprays of yellow to the upper right of the page and allow to move into the blues to create a nice transition of green. Allow to dry really well and add another coat of colour if you like.

Using the permanent ink stamp a couple of butterflies, dots, film strip and doily images to add some texture and depth to your page.

Finish off by adding a couple of title strips from the sticker sheet and 3 fussy cut butterflies.

Lastly add a few splatters using the black mist.

I had so much fun creating this page I kept on going and playing with the mists a little more.

How to Use Printed Acetate on a Layout

In this month’s Mountain Air collection we have released a printed piece of acetate – PS536 OUTDOORS that you will soon see is very versatile.

Why use printed acetate in your scrapbooking?
The printed acetate gives you the ability to layer images over other images but still be able to see through to the pattern on the background.  Another element – another dimension

PS536 Outdoors – Acetate Specialty

So whether you are going fishing or camping you can see how the main images of the wood stump or compass could be used as a feature on your layout and use the arrows and tyre treads, cut into strips for added interest.

GONE FISHING – layout featuring this acetate

You can recreate a layout similar to above by following the video below or download full instructions by clicking the above image.

Thanks for watching and if you are interested in purchasing the Mountain Air Bundle that includes the acetate sheet used above click on the image below.

Moments layout by Tatiana Yemelyanenko

Hello!

Tatiana is here with you today and I’d like to share layout with one summer time moment. For my project I used beautiful new collection ‘Anthology’. This collection is just perfect for the nature inspred projects. There are a lot of elements (herbs, leaves, butterflies etc) which can be fussy cut.

So I started from fussy cutting flowers from Botanist paper, herbs from Herbs paper and butterflies from Enthomology paper. Then I layered fussy cut images, collectables and stamped images behind the photo and added sisal. I also created two small embellihment clusters and partially hid them between the layers.

On the final step I adhered rhinestones to the layout and flicked the charcoal mist randomly over the layout.

Kaisercrft products: P2542 Entomology | P2543 Plumology | P2544 Botanist | P2548 Herbs | CT938 Collectables, SS364 Sticker Sheet | Flourish Pack – FL626 Curiosities | Mini Template – IT033 Film Strip | Die & Stamp Set – DD980 Grateful | Ink Pad – IP719 Black & IP723 Vintage | Rhinestones – RS404 Champagne & RS406 Blue Grey | Kaisercard – CD110 Mocha | T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue

Tag mini album tutorial by Tatiana Yemelyanenko

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Tatiana is here with you today and I have a new video tutorial for you. This time I have created a tag mini album. I chose to use Spring themed photographs and I think that the new Memory Lane collection is ideal for this project.

For my project I used 6 1/2 ” paper set and combined it with silver glitter cardstock. All frames have been cut using a ruler and craft knife.

I covered the wooden flourishes with silver embossing powder.

For adding a touch of bling to my project I used rhinestones, sequins and glitter.

Pages featuring photographs have been embellished with transparent stickers and rhinestones.

‘Family’ layout by Tatiana Yemelyanenko

Hello!

Tatiana is here with you today and I’d like to share my new layout featuring Documented collecion. This time I chose my dad and uncle photography. I used clocks on my layout as a symbol of time, added number stickers ’59’ it’s a year when the photography was taken. There is a hanwritten text on the back side of the photo, so I decided to use photo corners and didn’t adhere photography on the page.

I also used negatives from the stickers.

As usual on the final steps I added splashes and rhinestones to my project.
